Lost receipt hello i am trying to get a digital camera fixed at kodak. the camera is still in the warranty period however i need proof of purchase and by now i have lost the receipt. the serial nomber is KCGGV74718311. purchased on: January 12 2008 store location Pembroke Pines, pines boulevard, 33026 approx. b/w the hours of 1pm-4pm thanks in advance

    I bought a Canon powershot sd750 camera on nov 23rd 2007 and now the camera is having a problem. I lost the reciept I had. And I paid it in cash. I need a copy of my reciept to reapair my camera.

Normally you are required to send the receipt away with the warranty card when you register the purchase for warranty with the manufacturer.
FujiFilm UK offer a free estimate and quotation for cameras that are without warranty, perhaps Kodak offer the same service?

Limited Warranty
Kodak warrants Kodak consumer electronic products and accessories ("products"), excluding batteries, to be free from malfunctions and defects in both materials and workmanship for one year from the date of purchase. Retain the original dated sales receipt. Proof of the date of purchase will be required with any request for warranty repair.
Limited warranty coverage
Warranty service is only available from within the country where the products were originally purchased. You may be required to ship products, at your expense, to the authorized service facility for the country where the products were purchased. Kodak will repair or replace products if they fail to function properly during the warranty period, subject to any conditions and/or limitations stated herein. Warranty service will include all labor as well as any necessary adjustments and/or replacement parts. The lens is stuck and I've lost the receipt.


look at the lens from the side and you will see that it is slightly crooked.

with a moderate force try to straighten it. kinda like seeting a fractued leg! ha! i had this problem and it worked

If that is the issue, problem is the Review Button that's why you cant press the back button. I believe Kodak has a way to look on the warranty of their product even if you dont have receipt. As far as I know, most of the manufacturers, base the warranty with the Serial number of the product even w/out the receipt, so with Kodak. You may call 1.800.235.6325 for assistance on setting up your camera for repair.

Hey kylapaige,
Most manufacturers’ warranties on digital cameras cover the camera for 1 year, and all the manufacturer usually requires is proof of purchase. If you have lost your receipt most retailers can provide you with a copy of it. This being said I will say that most manufacturers’ warranties do not cover damage caused by and accident. I have included a link to the manufacturer where you can view the manufacturers warranty terms and conditions, and there is a PDF download of your camera manual in case you need it. Greetings theslim,

There are few things that would need to be clarified before giving you an answer to this.

How long have you had the unit? Digital cameras carry a 14 day return policy on them.

Did she or you purchase a Performance Service Plan? If so, then you should be able to have store look this up for you. If that is the case, you can bring the unit into the store and have them either fix it or exchange it (depending on what the service department decides). If the camera does not have a PSP, then you would need to take advantage of the manufacturer warranty, which you can still do at a Best Buy™ store if the unit is still under mfg warranty.

In order to take advantage of any of the above listed options, you would need to obtain a copy of her receipt. If *********** has this, she can chose to give you the customer service pin on the receipt which will allow your local store to pull up the receipt for you. Unfortunately, Best Buy™ is unable to share that information with anyone other than the original purchaser so make sure you get this from her before proceeding any further.

I733 camera lcd cracked inside of the exterior panel


You need to send it to the repair center to replace the cracked LCD screen. Please check if your camera is in warranty.

As long as you have your receipt and you are still within the 1 year manufacturer's warranty period and the problem is covered under manufacturer's warranty the manufacturer should repair or replace the camera. If you purchased it at bestbuy you can bring it to one of our stores to have it sent out for service under the manufacturer's warranty.

In shooting mode the lcd screen is black


Olympus says this is a bad image processing chip. They will replace it at no charge if you are still within the year warranty period. They require proof of purchase i.e. receipt, copy of charge card statement, copy of warranty card, etc. Contact them for further information on how to return it.
