CD that came with iLo 2gb mp3 player

I have repeated tried to run the CD that came with my player. I get a message that says I need an updated version of the cd. When I click the yes button in the message, I am sent to a Microsoft Media Player site that has nothing in the way of solving the problem of needing to download the cd before operating the MP3 player.

Are you running Windows Vista? if so, you are out of luck - not compatible. This company is out of business - if it doesn't work just by plugging it into computer, then take it back to Wal-Mart immediately

Frozen Mp3 player

Most of the time, this problem only requires a simple reset. ILo went out of the Mp3 business, so the manual is no longer available to the general public. If your player came with a manual, I would double-check it to see what reset method they reccomend. Also, ILo was notorious for creating websites that were not intuitive - there was no ilo.com or ilo.org, for instance. If your user's manual lists a specific website, if you would kinfdly post it here - many people would benefit.

Most of the time, this freezing issue is caused because the new version of Windows Media Player, version 11, was not compatible with the iLO player. If the manual lists an address for a firmware upgrade I would use that address (and post it also). It is highly likely, however, that the firmware upgrade is not available any longer. A firmware upgrade would resolve the problem permanently.

If there is no firmware upgrade available, and the simple reset does not work, then:
Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.

Flashing ilo.

I found that connecting the MP3 player to the computer with the patch cord causes the player to reset and eliminates the problem. It only takes a few moments, just disconnect when the pc tells you it is safe to remove the device.

Ilo 1gb mp3 player

install the ilo driver cd that came with your ilo. Because you never know, not all ilo mp3 players have the same software.

Thats just my opinion, hopefully it works

Ilo 2gb mp3 flash player cd problems

This is the worst mp3 player ever invented - i have to tell you this up front. There is no driver, the company does not support the product anymore - I would return it now while you still can.

Either the device is bad, the pc port is bad, or the software is faulty. Try connecting to different usb port, then a usb port on a different pc with a compatible os. If still not recognized, then there is physical damage to player.

Can open instructions

You do not have the sufficiant driver software to run the disc because windows vista is too new for older versions of cd-rom software. This is a common problem. You need to install the latest driver software for it to work. Trust me. Good Luck!
