Hi there we had same problem so phoned 08456040105 and they told me to press menu button on tv for 10 secs and take batteries out of remote and press power button on remote for 10 secs while batteries are out. it worked for us doing both at same time....good luck

The person who authorized them paying for my parts was Keith, but I called back and spoke with an equally helpful person afterwards. I was impressed with the customer service. I told them that I had chosen Hitachi over other brands because I believed in the product, but I was frustrated with my expensive plasma failing so soon out of warranty. I also shared with them that I was seeing several other people on this forum experiencing the same problem.
