I have a sony viao and trying to do a recovery on it want booth are start in normal are safe mode

If you have not burned a set of recovery disks, I believe when you boot up you can get to the recovery partition. During the boot with the splash screen on (the thing that says VIAO in the begining), start pressing the F10 or F12 key. This should bring up the boot options and allow you to boot from the recovery partition and restore the computer back to factory settings. If you burned the disks for the computer, just place disk one in the drive and boot.

Hope this helps and it was what your were looking for.

Son left home for a job left his PC behind was going to give to younger child has system password (that Older son forgot)

If he set a password in the BIOS, this can easily be solved by unplugging the computer from the wall, opening it up, and removing the CMOS battery (a flat, lithium "button cell" battery on the main system board inside), for 30 seconds before putting it back.

If this is a Windows password we're talking about, it may be tricky getting inside. Since you're giving it to someone else, why not locate the Windows Recovery Disks, and boot the computer up with them in the driver, re-install windows? Might be safer in the long run, as it will erase everything, and give the child a computer with a clean slate. Unfortunatly, if this is done- then everything your son saved on the computer will be erased clean, and be unrecoverable.

My sony viao pcg=z1rap loads up but at any giving time it shuts down and show blue screen, restart does same thing

Sounds like your OS is corrupt. Try a "repair install" of Windows by booting from the windows disk. if that does not work, you may have to run the factory recovery program.. consult your owners manual.

How do I create a factory default recovery disc where do I find the area at

Hello,

Not knowing the age and model of your emachine I will give you a few choices.

If it's an older series like the picture above you should be able to go into the start menu, all programs and then either PC Help and Tools or Emachine-Recovery manager. Then select Recovery Disk Creator.

If it's a newer model, Emachines and Gateway were bought out by Acer over a year ago and now use the Acer style recovery. Select Star, All Programs, then Emachine Recovery Manager. Load the Disk Creator selecting Factory Default disks first then selecting Application and Driver Disk.

One note, if it's an older model you will only be able to create the application and driver disk. It would have came factory with a base windows install disk. If you have lost this disk, you can reinstall using any standard OEM disk for the correct version of windows and using the windows license attached to the computer, but you will need the application and drivers disk to install your devices and programs.

If it's and older model and you can't find the disk, you can order a replacement set by contacting Emachines support, but there will be a cost invloved.
