SOURCE: Turn on get error c0500
the error codes means Low fuser temperature during warm-up
To clear the fuser error code, perform the following after correcting the cause:
1. With power ON, open the front door and locate the small, rectangular hole below the imaging unit removal tool.
2. Insert a suitable object into the hole to actuate the reset switch .
3. The code should clear and a message to close the front door should appear.

This was of great help as I was able to sort out the corona and now the machine is back working. Great learning experience. Well done to you. You are really a genius in Minolta problem shooting.

Easy one....press stop, then 0, then stop, then 1
You will now be in the service mode so be careful.
Look for the counters tab and press it
You should see a screen with multiple tabs. You are concerned with 2 of them.
First one is "Maintenance" Press this tab.
You will get a list of maintenance items with their preset values and the "count" or pages run on them. Look for any where the count is higher than the setting. If there is one where this is the case then use the arrow key to highlight that counter and clear it to zero with the C key. Be sure you are in the counter column not where the preset is. After you have zeroed any that are over the preset, exit out and turn the machine off then on again. See if M4 is gone. If it is great.
If not then repeat this procedure again but this time instead go to the Consumables tab instead of Maintenance and check the 2 counters in there. One is copy kit and the other waste toner collect. Clear them if they are over the preset. If the waste toner is over and you clear it you should empty the waste toner box or it could back up and damage the machine. The waste toner box is located inside of the plastic "box" on the back lower part of the copier. 2 screws remove the cover and the box just slides out. Be careful not to make a huge mess when emptying the box.

Testimonial: "You are an absolute genius. This copier has been sitting here for over 5 months with no one able to fix it!! Thanks & Merry Christmas."
Yes you need to call service this indicates problem in your fusing unit. A busted Heat lamp is the reason or broken thermistor.
