Reset cmos

If the monitor had no signal, what was/were your indications(s) that the keyboard and mouse were not working? It is possible that the CMOS may have erred and caused your lack of video, but not likely.
Check this...look at the heatsink for the CPU? Are the fins clogged with dust/dirt? If so, it is possible that the CPU is going into auto shutdown from overheating. Even if the fan is running, if there is no air moving over the fins, the CPU will overheat. If that is not the problem, then my next guess would be the onboard video has given up the ghost. If you are not getting any kind of beep codes that would indicates CMOS errors, then this is likely.

Blank screen, no signal to monitor, no HD light, no mouse light, no keyboard lights, no beep.

maybe it could be a frayed/broken wire leading to the visual/sound parts. if not then bring it to tech support and have them look at it

My computer turns on but nothing responds

Most likely your motherboard was DOA. Send it back for a replacement. Sounds like you've done all the troubleshooting stuff.....do double check the power supply connector...especially the P4 connector that I have occasionally forgotten to plug in...that will also cause the symptoms you describe.

Emachine wont start

remove all external and internal peripherls.

example for external: mouse, monitor, keyboard, printer.

Internal: hard drive, memory modules, video cards, modem (if there's any), optical drive or dvd drives.

just leave the motherboard, power supply and processor intact, try turning on the computer with out those components mentioned. see if you get a beep sound before it turns off, but if not the most logical part that needs to be replaced on this type of problem is the power supply if that doesn't work the next thing to do is replace the motherboard. hope that helps

hit me back on the results. thanks!

Monitor says

Try and kill the bios. Find the jumper next to the battery on the motherboard and move it from position 1-2 to 2-3 ... press the power button a few times. then put the jumper back to normal and give it a shot.

I would disconnect the cables first before anything and attempt to boot the system.. if it boots, then start plugging hte cables one after another until you find out what's causing the machine not starting correctly.

Good luck.

I think it would get power through the Moniter so I don't think you need a power cord for the CPU. Hope this helped =)
