The only way to bypass this switch is fist pill the plug, gain access to the switch from under the hood. put a jumper wire on the 2 wires on the switch. that will do it. I hope this helps you out.

HI. Check and see if you might have tripped the breaker. If there is a ground fault outlet close by. check that as well.
It sounds like you bypassed it properly. Try and reconnect the wires with the wire nut. Sometimes it doesn't connect properly.
I hope this helps you.
Please let me know if I can assist you further.

SOURCE: Maytag Washer lid switch
Ohm out the blue/ blk terminals on the sw (remove wire harnes first and notate wire color connection) with an ohmmeter-- Reading should be zero (closed lid position)
Then ohm the ylw and white sw terminals-- reading should be 0 as well.
If I am not mistaken this sw has a plunger that sticks out, if hte unit goes off balance this could push the plunger in. to reset- pull the plunger out

Hi, You can get to the lid switch by removing the screws that hold the control panel to the cabinet. This model has a fuse included with the lid switch.
I hope this helps you.
Please let me knwo if I can assist you further.

I took a small screw driver and inserted it into the hole, pushing down gently, further then the little plastic arm on the lid could reach. It continued on with the cycle so I knew that was the problem. I took a plastic sheet rock anchor,(the kind that you drill a small hole in wall then slip it in, and when a screw is inserted it expands behind the sheet rock and will not pull out) and slipped it over the little plastic arm on the lid (it pushed the switch a little further in, which enabled me to use until I could replace. The I went to youtube and they have lots of video's on how to take the cover off and fix.

Tips for a great answer:
I appreciate your inquiry, friend!
Based off what you have described you would like to bypass the lid switch on your Frigidaire washer. It is not recommended to bypass this part. Doing so could lead to a fault within your washer. I hope this information is helpful. -Matt
