Sub Zero 650 Freezer

What is the problem if the freezer temperatue is -20 when it should be 0. I know it is atleast -20 because my icecream is really frozen hard. Is there a way to reset the frige or is there a thermostat problem.

You have a bad control board. There is a relay on the board which is stuck. Replace the board. To confirm this, hit the unit off button. You will hear the humming of the freezer compressor. Turn the breaker off, and then back on. This might work, but the problem will probably re-occur.

Is it normal for warm air to blow out of the fan at the top of a side by side sub zero. Its over 20 years old and we recently had the compressor replaced on the freezer side.

warm air will blow out from the condenser fan which is in the same area as the compressor.
There should be no warm air inside the freezer of fridge.

Freezer stuck on -20 degrees

well it depends on how long the door was open for during the cleaning, your evap coil was unable to cool the unit due to the warm air coming in, that will cause the evap coil to over frez . un-plugging the unit may work but the best thing to do is force it into a defrost you can do that by pressing and holding the ice key on the key pad for 10 sec or till you hear the freezer shut down this will thaw the ice on the coil and the unit with come back on within 20 to 30 Min's

Sub-Zero temperture fluctuation

Just posted this elsewhere and it sounds like the same problem:
As you probably know, the recommended temperature range is between 35-45 F so if your control will not allow you to set this, the sensor or associated regulator has failed.

This seems to be an issue with Sub-Zero.

Sub Zero Freezer Vacuum

If your freezer temps are ok, it may just be that your gasket is getting older and it becomes more porus as it ages. The vacume sound doesnt really mean alot except that the difference in the room temp and the cold of the freezer create this vacume.
