Hi,
This is because of the defrost system is bad the freezer door is sucked.Don't worry this is not big issue.Since there is a lot of frost built up into the freezer the frozen ice gets sucked on the wall of the freezer door inside. So making it not to release. The button lock of the freezer to got iced up.
Switch of your system for 8 hours or more and let the frozen ice melts up.it will take 8 hours or more to melt depending on the frozen ice formed. So wait patiently. This is the simplest way you can solve this issue.
comment for further assistance.
Thank you for using fixya have a nice day:-)
Good Afternoon friend, I appreciate your post!
Based off what you have described the door on your Frigidaire refrigerator is stuck and will not open. It sounds like you may have condensation on your gasket and it has frozen the door shut. The best thing to do is disconnect power from the refrigerator for four to six hours and that should break up any ice holding the door closed. I hope this is helpful information. -Matt
