Can you try a magnet in the bobbin area to take out the broken needle? If, you have and had no luck, go to brother-usa.com and you will see there is a Singer place who does the repairs for Brother, phone #956-686-6658, 416-north 10th st, McAllen, Tx 78501. Good luck, I used a magnet myself and it worked. Just don't keep it there too long, it either works or it don't.

did you find the tip of the needle? Also you may have a nick in the metal where the needle hit and broke. It can catch on other parts and need to be sanded or replaced. One time I had this issue and I found the tiny broken tip under my bobbin case.

I broke a needle while sweng, now my needle hits my bobbin case on my 2030

it's very possible that when you broke the needle it caused the machine to go out of time & would have to be retimed at a sewing machine repair shop

Needle hits the white plastic where the bobbin case sits.

It may be as simple as you didnt get the needle pushed all the way up in the needle bar. Get new package of needles and try a new needle and make *sure* it goes up as far as you can push it. the reason I suggest a new pkg of needles is if one is bad in the pkg, they are probably all bad. If that doesnt fix it then the needle bar timing/height is off and need to be repaired/adjusted by a tech.

Sewing machine, strange noise

Is the needle in right? There is a front and back to a needle. Also is it the right needle for the machine?

Bobbin Carriage clanking noise, yet the machine sews fine??

If your bobbin area is making a noise, then do NOT sew with the machine until a reputable technician looks at it. You may have thrown something just a little off line - not enough to affect sewing NOW, but it could easily cause troubles down the line.

I suggest you call ahead and talk directly to the repair person - not to the sales person. Ask if you can bring in the machine while he/she is in the shop so they can listen while you run it.

You aren't trying to cheat the store out of the repair charge, just ensuring that the problem is diagnosed correctly.

You paid lots of money for this machine - it deserves good care.
