Do you know for sure if the error light is related to the cartridge? Here's a page on the hp website that deals with different light indicators on the front of that printer.

CHECK CARTRIDGE erorr code for sharp

If you have placed the correct and a new cartridge, you should take it out again and check if all contacts on the chip on the cartridge and in the printer are clean and shiny. Just a spec of dust or a tiny pice of paper or plastic between the contacts can cause an error. While you have the cartridge out, rubble check if it is the correct number.

Cartridge erorr

Take them out. Unplug the printer from the power. Plug it back in and turn it on before you put the cartridges back in. It should notify you that there is a cartridge missing. Power it off and put the cartridges back in.

Hi,

Turn the printer off, take out the cartridges, turn the printer on, reinstall cartridges. Printer reads cartridges as new.

Why this happens? I don't know if the rumors are true but check out this website and you'll find out.

I WAS MAKING COPIES AND THHEN IT STOPED PRINTING IT SAYS CARTIDGES ERORR .Refer to device for troubleshooting

Either a cartridge has failed or electrical contact with it has been lost. Remove the cartridges and clean the area where the electrical contacts are with a Q-tip lightly moistened with distilled water. Do this on the cartridge and the printer. Be sure both cartridge and printer are completely dry before reinstalling cartridges. Once reinstalled if the problem persists the cartridge will need replacing. Be sure to use either high quality refills or OEM cartridges. Low cost refillers may sell you a refilled cartridge with similar electrical defects as you current problem and you'll be in the same place. Reputable refillers have equipment to test all circuitry on the cartridges to ensure their functionality.

Canon printer flashes "e" then "2" twice?

A sensor in the printer is reporting that one of the print cartridges has been incorrectly installed.

Quickest solution is to power off the printer, remove each cartridge, ensure all packaging has been completely removed and then reinstall the cartridges and power back up.

LSU erorr appear in display screen

LSU refers to the long strip of glass / encoder strip inside the top of the cartridge compartment. It could be dirty or dislodged.

Power off the printer
Open the front cover
Lightly pull out the cartridge and keep it flat
Gently swab the LSU. If part of the LSU is hanging, gently put it back in place and reconnect. Be careful not to touch anything else.
Note: If you are unable to reconnect the LSU, the printer will need service.
Put the cartridge back (again, leave it flat).
Close the front cover.
Power the printer back on.

Hope this helps.

I can,t print

this usually indicates there is a problem with the cartridge, check the bottom of each cartridge and see if the colour barcodes are intact and ensure you are not trying to start the machine with the lid up as too much light coming in will also cause the problem when reading the coloured barcodes on the bottom of each cartridge
