Power is on 2.alarm is not. 3.hdd led blinks on and off 4.rec led light is on and seems red. Why is the system initialize stuck in this position suddenly. Anything i need to do! Why do the three periods after the word initialize blink on and off.

Are you pressing menu button on the monitor or the DVR?
Your problem may not be the cameras, but between the DVR and the monitor. Found this on page Eng-19 of the user manual which I found on Samsung.com
This monitor was set to password lock when you purchase a new set. Therefore, you must first enter a 4 digit password to activate the On Screen Display... the default password is 4321. Not sure if that helps.
When I installed the drivers for Mac, a software called Mars Camera also installed itself on my computer. I can use it to see what the camera can see. Any chance you might also have installed this software from the enclosed CD?

Samsung told me the newer versions of Windows and Internet Explorer, will not work with this system. Microsoft told Samsung it was their problem. Find a old computer with ME and Explorer 5 and it will work again. I have the ssc17web.

1. check connection wires and terminals are connected correctly there is no struggle in the cable or the cabling has been damage. 2. check the other three cameras the most simple is to connect the cameras that doesnt work in the terminal that does work!
