SOURCE: Baby Monitor False Alarm Problem

You can try adjusting the sensitivity on back of the nursery unit. But the most major thing I found was to ensure the sensor pad was on a firm surface. I used a large piece of cardboard from a flattened box. Angel Care recommends plywood or similar but the cardboard worked perfect for me. Put the sensor on top of the cardboard and then the mattress on top of that. The sensor should also be placed according to directions (under child approx center of mattress).

Your monitor has become unpaired with your camera. Follow the instructions in the manual to pair them again (basically, tell the monitor piece to Add New Camera while you press the Pair button on the camera). The manuals can be downloaded from www.summerinfant.com.

SOURCE: Even though it's well within

This happens to us sometimes. Check the angle of the antenna on the camera, make sure it's pointing up and toward the door. Also, if the door to your son's room is closed that might disrupt the signal enough to not transmit to the receiver.

Keep in mind this procedure to restart the the Monitor and CAMERA are paired at the factory
for privacy reasons. If the Monitor and CAMERA are not paired with each other for any reason, please pair them as described below.

Step 1: Move the Monitor to the same area as the CAMERA. With the Monitor on, press the Menu button on front of Monitor and using the Scroll button move down to the "ADD/DEL CAM" option. Press the Scroll button to select "ADD/CAMERA".
Step 2: At the same time press and hold the scroll button on the monitor and the pairing button on the CAMERA for at least 5 seconds. Then release.
Step 3: You should then see a picture from the CAMERA on the Monitor.
Step 4: If this is unsuccessful, you will see the message "OUT OF RANGE" on the Monitor screen and should repeat steps above making sure the CAMERA and Monitor are close enough to each other for pairing.

Good luck.

SOURCE: my range alarm keeps going

Make sure that the battery in the set and the remote are good as a poor battery can reduce the range. make sure there is good contact of the battery terminals. Now to test keep the main unit in one corner and start moving with the remote till you notice the alarm being triggered. If this is within the room or adjacent room but still not out of limit of the prescribed range, then it is possible that the trans-receiver has reduced in power output. A possible weakness in the transmission receiving in the base can be the fault. make sure there is no moisture on the unit. If seen try and dry using heat from a hair dryer.

SOURCE: my range alarm keeps going

I took the battery pack out and just used it plugged in. The only problem is the voice activation setting doesn't work. Not sure why it would work on the other setting and not this one? It did quit beeping and crackling though.

Get an error "err surface burners off" when starting self-clean mode

I have the same problem with my GE Profile gas range. Every time I try to lock the touch panel (pressing and holding RANGE LOCKOUT), this message shows up. Every time this happens, the message goes away in a few seconds, but the touch panel never really locks. I didn't realize this wasn't the proper behavior until last night.
Last night, I did the same, but this time the "err turn burner off" message would not go away and there was an audible alarm beeping at once per couple seconds. I cycled the power by turning off the circuit breaker and back on, but every time the same message and alarm comes back.
When the err message is on, no gas is fed to the burners -- when I turn the dials, no gas come out from any of the burners. I guess this message is to alert the user that one or more of the burner dials are still in the open position and is telling the user to turn them off to the closed position.
Even though all four burner dials are in the fully off position, one of them was apparently not recognized by the sensor as being in the fully closed position. By turning this dial slightly in the clockwise direction just a little past the off position (even though it already appears to be in the fully off position) allows the sensor to recognize that it is now off. The error message and the alarm goes off and the panel then showed LOC, indicating that it has entered lockout mode. After that, I can unlock the panel by pressing the RANGE LOCKOUT button again.
So for me, the problem seems to be that the sensor for one of the dials was not registering that it was closed, and turning it a slight bit past off did the trick. The other three burners have no issue.

How do i stop the range alarm?

If the out of range alarm is beeping the batteries may not be powerful enough or there is too many walls between transmitter and receiver.

Monitor and base are plugged in but the monitor continues to beep. We have tried to change channels but it still beeps. Please advise.

I realize this original post is old, but just incase someone is looking for solutions, I will put what worked for me. I have the T4841, and had the same problem. No matter how close or how charged the battery, it kept beeping saying out of range even though it was only a week old. I got it to work by pushing the reset buttons on the monitor and receiver at the same time. The reset button on the receiver is on the back (tiny hole with black button - a pen tip fits nicely). The reset on the monitor is on the left side just about halfway up - right below the light button. Hope this helps!
