If 3d ghosting do not try adjust screens, focus, or anything.

Look at attached photos and if they look ANYTHING like your problem I can tell you how to fix it and what is involved.

These are convergence problems--no two sets will look exactly the same but you will know if this is your problem.

Picture bleeding red

My advice to you is to leave it as it is if it's bearable.

if not I'd go with marking the pots on the Y-Main board (the one on the left side of the TV when looking from the back) with a Sharpe, then trying to adjust them one by one to see which ones affects the sparking most.

You may end up having to replace the board eventually, but you should know that it is not guaranteed that this is where the problem is although it is the usual first choice.

I just got a old fashon 52" Bigscreen TV "PHILLIPS" and it has a red tint to it how do i get it off.?

Answer 1: Adjust the tint control towards the green. If that doesn't work, set it to the center then...

Answer 2: Find the red drive control and turn it down. We can't tell you how to do that without the model number. Look at a white area of the picture and adjust it so it is white.

If all is well, that is all you need to do. However, there are a number of failure modes that could cause this symptom; most of them would be on the red CRT driver board.

We got a free hitachi projection tv that i believe has a bulb malfunction. on the left half of the screen has a red shadow we cant afford a hundred dollars for an estimate then whatever the price of the...

You might need to adjust the red screen drive control, turn the Red down and see if that clears it out. Sounds like the Red Tube is over driving the Green and blue Tube.
Find the Focus and screen control block there will be 3 controls on Top 3 right under them R-G-B they adjust the Focus to each tube and screen drive for each tube. also you need to clean the lenses off top of each tube they get dirty and dusty and it would help to clean the mirror

50HP66 50 in. Plasma Television: i have red dots/shadowing on my tv...

I got the red dots really bad on my toshiba 50hp66 after an hour or two of watching tv. I found out that if you open up the tv in the back on the left you will find two adjustment pots labelled Vsc and Vy. I took a sharpie and marked where the factory defaults were first. Then I adjusted the Vy pot down a little bit and the red spots were gone! My tv looks great again!

Symphonic 32'' lcd tv has shadow on right side of screen

The "shadow" indicates a failure either of the LCD controller, LCD connector, or in the worst case, the LCD itself. A loose connection between the LCD and the LCD controller can result in abnormal displays. Try tapping the back of the TV and check if the shadow can be affected. If it is affected, try cleaning the connector terminals with a soft-bristle brush and alcohol or lacquer thinner. If not, have it checked by a qualified technician to carry out the proper tests to determine which of the LCD controller or LCD the problem lies.

Red static/shadowing in black areas. I have read something about it being LCDS cable???? where do i get a new one?? John

It's called Red Solarization. It could be the LVDS cable..or the panel control board...or the panel itself..some control boards only come with panel..unless you've changed a panel before I would advise you to take to a repair shop.

Color adjust

Greetings!

Adjusting the picture tubes is a scary proposition, but since you have already done it...
The easiest way to balance the gray scale is to turn the color all the way down on the set. The next part is easier with two people if the screen controls are on the back of the set. This is the part you saw that has six small knobs on it. There are control for the focus of the red, gree and blue and for the screen level of the red, green and blue. You will want to adjust the screen controls in an effort to get the picture black and white (this is why you turn the color down), hence the term "gray scale". Just make slight adjustments, take your and be patient. It will take some time, but you will get your picture balanced back out in time.

Hope this helps!
