Weedeater Model # FL26 is not getting fuel into the primer bubble, what could possibly be the problem?

When I took the tank off I found the filter rolling around inside the tank. The hose had broken off. I pulled the suction line out of the tank and put it in a cup of fuel and it still did not fill the bulb. I will try and change the fuel lines. I checked the bulb for cracks but didn't see any.

1) No Fuel In Tank (Sorry, couldn't resist)
2) Kink in fuel line
3) Fuel line is split
4) Pickup filter is contamaminated (porous material is easily clogged by too much 2 cycle oil, or gunk left from fuel during storage
5) Primer bulb has a leak
6) Fuel Line has expanded where it passes through the tank (some models have the fuel line running through a grommet)
7) Fuel line has Ultraviolet Damage, pinholes have formed.

Replace the fuel line. If you would like a quick and easy check for the bulb itself, attach same size fuel line, drop other end into a small cup of premix fuel, and push the bulb. If fuel appears, then problem lies in the tank / line to the tank / filter media. Otherwise, Primer bulb is leaking.

Why my weedeater idle to high and why air bubble in the primer bulb?

Its not un common to have air in the primer bulb, Check for a possible air leak in the system. This will make the saw idle higher than normal if its sucking air from elsewhere.

How do I fix bubbles in primer and harder to start?

You might want to open the carburetor and clean it out. Sometimes dirt particles get past the air filter and find their way into it. It screws up the fuel mixture and can make it harder to start.

What would be wrong with my weedeater when i press the primer bulb gas will start to come out of the gas cap ?

You could have a clogged tube from the primer into the carb, but it also sounds like the fuel tank is overfilled.

Won stay running

Check carburetor & air filter. Clean off all dirt and clean air filter. check age of gas. Cannot be more than 30 days old. Make sure to use fresh gas w/synthetic 2-cycle oil @ 40:1 ratio (1 gal.) Gas to 3.2 oz. Oil). Do not use old or stale oil/gas mixture. Before putting in fresh fuel, press the primer several times. A small amount of gas might show up in the fuel tank. Remove fuel. With carburetor cleaner, spray carburetor. Put in small amount of fresh fuel. Just enough to cover the fuel filter. Then press primer with fuel cap off, and watch to see if fuel is flowing smoothly. If not or if plastic primer bubble does not come back to original shape after pressing, then you have to take carburetor apart and clean or get new carburetor.

Can't get gas to start primer pump not working

Sounds like you have an air leak in the fueling system and air, not fuel is being sucked in to the primer, check the fuel line and primer pump gaskets or bubble (if it is the primer bubble type)

My brother bought a Weedeater Featherlite Plus Fl26 and lost the operators manual. He says it is a Dual String weedeater and he has to have 2 strings, not 1 to make it work properly. I think it needs...

Well I have used this search engine called google. Though it seems to be unknown on this board I would go there and do the following search" Weedeater Featherlite Plus Fl26 manual" This will create a number of hits or links. You click on one that has the company name in the url and find customer service or downloads. Click around and eventually you will find what you seek.
Spread the word about google, it saves a bunch of time instead of asking strangers to do google searches for you.

My featherlite FL26 weedeater stalls immediately after starting.

I would start by emptying out all the old fuel, then pull the recoil several times to clear the carburetor. Then add fresh oil/gas mix, should be 40:1 which is 3.2oz of two cycle oil to one gallon of gas. Also check the fuel line and primer line for good connection to the carb. and make sure the spark plug is good.

Hi there,i have a mcculloch tm210 petrol strimmer and the problem is that it will not start,i have noticed that the fuel primer bubble dose not come back out.please can you advise.

clogged fuel line or carberator. my weedeater did this at the first of the season. i took off both lines going to the gas tank and blew on each line separately while holding throttle open on carberator. i felt the clog go thru and put back together, poured a little gas in intake and it started right up and the primer worked right. good luck

I just replaced a rotten fuel line on a craftsman 23cc weedeater, but when i push the primer bubble no gas goes in it. There are no holes i checked. Is there a anything else i could check for problems?

With your cover off so you can see the fuel line, see if you have any bubbles come through. If you see bubbles in the fuel line, when you pull starter rope, you have a line sucking air.
