Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

Microsoft wireless mice typically put an icon in the system notification tray (right side of the taskbar, next to the clock) showing the mouse's current status. If you hover over this icon, the battery status should be displayed (it may just say either "OK" or "battery low").

I bought the microsoft wireless laser mouse 5000 at a garage sale and i dont know how it connect it to my computer.

Should be two parts to this mouse. one part will go into the usb port to communicate with the mouse, and the other part is the one you use. If you have both parts then check the batteries in the mouse, if you didn't get both parts then you have to go buy a new mouse (preferably the same) and you will have a spare mouse.

The wireless mouse works but the laser 5000

press connect on the wireless device...let go and then within 5 seconds press the button on the bottom of the keyboard. Repeat the same steps for the mouse whther its working or not. The problem usually is that the keyboard and mouse are on the same "Wireless Channel" and only resyncing them puts them on a seperate channel, hope this helps.

I have a Wireless Mouse 5000.

Is this a Microsoft Wireless 5000 Mouse? The battery plate should be on the bottom of the mouse to take off to put in the batteries, similiar to a TV remote contoller. And it can be latched pretty tight.

Included a Youtube video of someone taking the battery out of his mouse.
