Pb2400 leaf blower, no spark at electrode. Could it be the spark plug or most likely the coil?

Testing both would eliminate one or the other (or both) but remember...there must be an air-gap the thickness of a regular business card between the legs on the coil module and the magnets on the flywheel. (eg. .012"-.016")
If the gap is too close...rubbing may occur (no spark)...too wide (weak or no-spark)

I have a 316.794980 craftsman leaf blower with no spark from the plug

If the plug is getting no spark then you need to check the ignition coil it is probably no good. If you go to and enter your model number it will show a diagram of your leaf blower and you can go from there. Hope this helps.

Husqvarna model 125b Hand held blower (Gas) No

If you have tried a new spark plug and you still have no spark, then your Ignition Coil, (Module) has gone bad. They aren't cheap if you buy it new. Try to find a used one if you can for around $10.

Good Luck!

No spark

Try a new spark plug. If you have done that and still no spark, check the flywheel coil leg gap (.012) thousand, should do it. Also, disconnect the kill switch and run a spark test again. If the unit still doesn't have any spark, then in all probability you need a new coil or as they call them today, a new module.

Toro lawn mower has no spark. Grounded spark plug no spark across electrodes.

Get a new coil go to and get yourself one and replace it it's easy, go for it. the only thing you have to worry about is the space between the coil and flywheel magnet. Measure old one with feeler gauge before you take off. Good Luck! Don't forget the thumbs.

No fire

First things first; press the primer bulb 10 times, then pull the starter cord 4 times, then remove the spark plug and look at the electrode, is the electrode wet, black, sooty? If the electrode is wet, the cylinder is getting fuel. So, the next thing will be testing for spark; you can purchase a spark tester at just about any autoparts store or online from someone like Harbor Freight. To test for spark, the spark plug is left in the cylinder but the wire is taken off...the tester is inserted installed between the tip of the plug and the ignition module; this is very easy to see and, pull the starter cord and watch the light on the tester, if the light flickers with every pull, you have good spark. Now, we check compression; you can get a compression tester from any autoparts store, if you don't want to buy one, stores like AutoZone have a tool loaner program...remove the spark plug and then screw the plug end of the compression tester into the spark plug hole; pull the starter cord 4-5 times and look at the meter, if it reads anything below 90psi, there is an internal problem such as the piston ring is stuck.

Now, depending on all of these checks, you can pinpoint the most likely culprit. If the spark plug is wet, the spark tester light flickers and compression reading is good, try cleaning or changing the air filter first, if you still can't get it to run, try spraying a bit of carburetor cleaner in the carb to clean it and try again, if that doesn't work, try replacing the spark plug, if that doesn't work, you may have to get a rebuild kit for the carburetor. If the spark tester light does not flicker, you will need a new ignition module. If the compression reading is low, the motor needs a ring job.

I know this is a lot of information and it may sound daunting but if you follow these steps, you will get your blower running.

Leaf blower won't start. I think it's the module

If you haven't done it already, install a new plug. It's possible you're being fooled by a faulty/fouled plug. A fouled plug may not spark visibly - like if there is dirt down in the recesses of plug around the electrode. It would be a good idea to check it with a new plug before spending $80 bucks for a new ignition module.

Homelite ut08107 will not fire. no spark at plug.

It may be the coil if there is not any spark. Or a wire could off at the coil. One more thing it could be is the spark plug wire may have came loose from the coil. These a few thing to check.
