Question about Garden

1 Answer

When I turn the key to start the **** Shortcut 1500, it only clicks. The battery appears to be built inside the mower and I don't see a quick, simple way of getting it out. Also, in case it is the starter, I need a manual that shows how to remove and replace. Please reply quickly, as my yard is in dire need. Thanks, Richard Jergins

same exact problem , battery is charged, still just clicks when trying to start, thought it might be a sensor prohibiting the mower from starting, checked brakes and seat sensor both ok, would there be anything else proventing the starting of the mower? How can i check?

Starter want turn

Starters burn up eventually, just had similar experience and I took the starter off to inspect and the magnets inside were broken off the wall of the starter and it would not turn. Age is a factor in most starters, these get hot being mounted on these small engines and don't last forever in most cases. Good Luck!

My Yard Riding Lawn Mower won't start when I turn the key on it just clicks

Click means solenoid has enough battery power but maybe not enough battery power for the armature of the starter to spin, it may be low battery or bad solenoid contact - inside it, (copper washer and pin), or thirdly it may be the engine is stuck so try to turn it a bit by hand to rule this out. Turning the engine a bit by hand may also free a starter gear that has jammed on the flywheel teeth.

Cub Cadet ZTR will not start

Is the blade engagement off? If that is ok, does the solenoid even click when you put the key to start position? If the solenoid doesn't even click check the battery connections and make sure they are good and clean. If the connections are good, are you sure the new battery is fully charged. If the battery sat around for a long time in the store it could need charged. If all that is good and then you don't get the starter solenoid to click when you put the key in start position, then it is either the seat switch, parking brake switch, handle switches, or mower engage switch keeping it from starting. If all that is ok maybe you have a bad starter solenoid. Please rate my answer so I am rewarded points for it.

Forgot user account psswords

If you have forgotten your password, if you have another user account with
administrative privileges you can log into that account and change your
original user account's password from the User Accounts applet in Control
Panel. If you don't have another account like this set up or don't have the
password to it, you'll need to log into the built-in Administrator account.
In XP Home, boot the computer into Safe Mode. Do this by repeatedly tapping
the F8 key as the computer is starting up. This will get you to the right
menu. Navigate using your Up arrow key; the mouse will not work here. Once
in Safe Mode, you will see the normally hidden Administrator account. The
default password is a blank.

In XP Pro, you do not need to go into Safe Mode. At the Welcome Screen, do
Ctrl-Alt-Del twice to get the classic Windows logon box. Type in
"Administrator" and whatever password you assigned when you set up Windows.

To change the built-in Administrator account in XP Pro if you can log into
another account with administrative privileges reset the password in the
Local Users and Groups snap-in in Microsoft Management Console (MMC):

1. Click Start, and then click Run.
2. In the Open box, type "mmc" (without the quotation marks), and then click
OK to start MMC.
3. Start the Local Users and Groups snap-in.
4. Under Console Root, expand "Local Users and Groups", and then click
Users.
5. In the right pane, right-click Administrator, and then click Set
Password.
6. Click Proceed in the message box that appears.
7. Type and confirm the new password in the appropriate boxes, and then
click OK.

If you reset the built-in Administrator account's password in Home or have
Pro and don't remember the password, use NTpasswd to change the built-in
Administrator account's password to a blank.

I don't know how to get back my Microsoft word on my computer.

Hello, there are many posibilities your MS Word is still in your computer, If you have Windows XP click on Start menu then click on all programs, and look for Microsoft office folder, once you have your mouse over that menu, it will show all your MS Office applications, to get back your MS Word icon to the desktop, right click on Microsoft Word's icon and then click on Send to, then click on Desktop (Create A Shortcut).
Almost the same procedure is used with windows Vista/Seven: Click on start menu and type in the search box the word: 'Word', you'll see all the matches, there must be MS Word among the matches, right click on it and send the icon to desktop as a shortcut.
If you don't find The office folder nor the word Icon, is time to 'restore' your system, on Windows XP press F1 key and under the Choose a task subtitle, look for something like 'Undo previously done changes using System Restore', system restore window will appear, click on next and choose a date before the problem started happening, for example if the problem started on wednesday and your most recent restore point was on monday click on monday and start the restore process by clickng 'next' button.
The same procedure is very similar on Windows Vista and Seven, for these OSes you'll have to search for 'System Restore' in the F1 help menu and follow the instructions given.
If you're still having problems finding MS Word my recommendation is to go to a computer store and seek for professional help on the subject.
I hope these tips help, best wishes.
Have a nice day.

Systemax laptop not shutting completely down

Try this ;

Buried deep inside Windows XP lurks a little-known program called shutdown that shuts down your system in a very fast but orderly way. Here's how to put an icon on your desktop that'll shut down your machine quickly:

1. Right-click any empty location on your desktop.

2. Click New, Shortcut.

The Create Shortcut Wizard appears.

3. In the Type the Location of the Item box, type shutdown -s -t 0.

It's important that you put spaces before each hyphen, that you have no spaces after each hyphen, and that you use a zero at the end.

4. Click Next. 5. In the Type a Name for This Shortcut box, use a name that will remind you that this button is for a very quick shut down.

6. Click Finish.
