I am having the exact same problem with my Toshiba 42HP95. From the information that I have been able to glean from the internet, it looks to be some sort of problem with the power supply or some other component of the power circuit. I am giving up and getting service

the blinking light signifies to a repair technician with capacitors or circuits are having an issue they can diagnose the problem via the amount of blinks in between pauses however it will require a technician and some specific tools and schematics to fix and it may be cheaper if its no longer under warranty to purchase a new one

Hope this helped

Toshiba TN55X81 Wont turn on but I hear clicking

Pull the three connectors to the yokes on the convergence board. If the set powers up, it's a good chance the STK392-110's need to be replaced. I fixed one today, and it has been running for 6 hours now.

Tv will not turn on

The blinking red light is telling you that the set did not start up due to an overvoltage somewhere in the set. Most likely the main power supply has a fault like a bad regulator IC or a component associated with it, or there is a fault in the sweep power supply somewhere. if you have no electronic repair experience, play it safe and call out a tech to assist you with this repair. Good Luck.
