Dont know how to set date on an automatic watch

mcdevito75, Here, You can set the date on your Timex Automatic, by simply slipping your fingernail just under the stem (winder) and gently lift it up to it"s first position (notch), this will allow you to turn the stem to change the date without haveing to turn the hands so many times. once set push the syem back in.

I have a screw down crown and dont know how to set the time, date etc

I don't know the make of your watch but typical operation is described below. If the instructions are not correct, then some experimenting will sort out the correct functions- good luck!

Unscrew the crown (anticlockwise) and pull it out.

There are probably two "out" positions, the first one for date, forward(?) for date and backward(?) for day.

The second position should be for time.

    Try this and check which

How do i set the time

The three buttons are the Chronograph start button (top), Crown (middle), and chronograph reset (bottom).
To set the watch pull the crown out to the first position and turn it until it is on the right time.
To set the date pull the crown out to the second position and rotate until you have the right date.
Be sure that when you set the time that you are in the right AM or PM. DO this by watching when the date turns at the 12:00 position. The date changes at midnight so that would be AM.
