Question about Dell XPS M1330 Notebook
Let's assume you or a friend are capable of the repair. If so, here are the 2 keys to your success.
1. Just below is the link to your Dell Service Manual. Whoever will attempt/complete the repair should follow the manual closely. Before ordering any parts, disasseble the laptop to the degree that you can see if it's just the hinge or any other associated part that you'll need as well so all parts may be ordered at the same time.
2. You may want to call Dell Support to get help with specific part numbers, but try to buy as many of the parts as possible from eBay where prices are unbeatable.
I've repaired dozens of Dells professionally and this approch always brings good results for me.
