    Hey, thanks.

Actually the problem is not that the dryer won't start or turn.

It DOES start, it does turn, there is heat, all seems fine.

The problem is that it STOPS abruptly, for no apparent reason. Sometimes after five minutes, sometimes after five seconds. There is no way to tell.

Any additional suggestions would be great, thank you.

Yes, the reason I gave that tip is because I think the problem is very similar,,,I think the high temperature cutout is tripping and stopping the dryer...
Check the vent for obstructions and the blower that it is working and moving air through the dryer...

Kenmore ultra fabric care dryer runs, but does not heat up Same as Christy's. Runs no heat, however, the exhaust vent is clear. Could this be the fuse or heating coil?

could be a thermal fuse, heating element or a heating element relay.if you pop the trim caps off of the sides of the console, and remove the 2 phillips screws in the corners and lift up console you will find a tech sheet inside.if you have a multimeter that you can check continuity with along with the tech sheet, you might be able to figure it out..good luck
