Question about HP Compaq 6910p Notebook PC PC Notebook
Pull up the keyboard there r 3 screws under the laptop has a picture of keyboard. loosen them then there is 4 clips at top of keyboard between esc and f1 between f4 and f5 f8 and f9 between f12 and scroll pull down . lift keyboard carefully. there is a watch batt in blue shrink wrap pull the connector for a few seconds make sure main battery isn't in and power cord is unplugged. put everything back together and now the password will be removed.

Unfortunately HP says: "If you forget the power-on password, the computer must be reset at an HP-certified repair center. Please contact HP to schedule a repair. The Drive Lock password cannot be reset. If you lose or forget the Drive Lock password, the hard drive must be replaced. Please contact HP to order a new hard drive. These services are not covered by the warranty."
