What the Blue screen is telling you is that the hard drive is corrupt. You may be able to fix this by reinstalling the operating system that was on the PC. You will also need drivers if it is a windows operating system. If this doesnt work you may need to replace the hard drive on the PC. It should be a 2.5 in. hard drive.

UNMOUNTABLE DISK VOLUME Message on ACER Aspire One.

Unmountable boot volume is most likely an indication of a failing hard drive. Boot to your Windows CD and run CHKDSK /R and see if issue resolves. If it doesn't then you are probably replacing the hard drive.

HOW CAN I FIX MY COMPUTER? ITS READING UNMOUNTABLE BOOT VOLUME?

You need your Windows XP cd for this fix.

Boot from the Windows XP CD and at the first prompt, press "r" for repair. Press 1 when asked to choose windows installation and then enter the admnistrator password. If you don;t have one, just press "enter" and it should show you "c:\windows>"

At this prompt, type the following

chkdsk /r

THis should take quite sometime but will fix the problem at the end. when you get the c:\windows prompt again, type the word "exit" and your system will reboot and load windows XP normally

Blue screen during booting

Yes, unmountable boot volume usually means you need a new hard drive. However, if you have a windows xp cd, you can boot to the recovery console (press R at the first prompt) and try running a chkdsk /f command. Sometimes that will help. Thanks and good luck! Oh and if you could remember to give this solution a rating of fixya. Thanks!
