Hi cmmisuer01. The instructions I have are in english and dont mention delayed rinse cycle. How do I cancel this cycle. I have tried the power off power on solution to no avail. There is no water sitting in the base. The dishwasher drains fully. The dishwasher was purchased in the UK.

Hi.

Check if the dishwasher is heating, if dishwasher does not heat, then either thermostat or element is faulty. Both get tested rteading Ohms at their terminals, if either one is open it must be replaced.
If the detergent compartment door does not open, that must also be tested, I think that the slot does not open because temperature is not reached.

There is no much literature on De Dietrich dishwasher. The first thing to do is surely contacting De Dietrich at the number listed here (UK), if you are not located in UK, please use the contact form: Contact De Dietrich.

If you repute this solution helpful, please do not forget to accept.

Best regards.

Ginko.

I am assuming the instructions you have for this model are not in English.

It is likely the dishwasher is in Delay rinse cycle.

Have you tried to turn the power off and back on.

Do you see the water sitting at the base when you open the door?

In which country did you purchase the dishwasher?

Please post a comment so that I can get some better diagnostic for you.

Thanks for clarifying the information I had sought.

This enabled me to actually locate the correct user manual for your dishwasher.

Obviously the problem you are experiencing is not covered in the trouble shooting guide. The closest is "Rinse and Hold" and "Normal 60" lights flashing which means inlet water problem.

But this is not the case as you mention the dishwasher goes through a part cold water cycle. But what intrigues me is that there is no water at the base of the dishwasher when you open the door.

Especially if the detergent dispenser is not opened - there was no wash cycle started. So the important thing is how did you work out that it goes through a partial cold cycle.

Please confirm which cycle do you operate the dishwasher in - does it always behave the same. What happens if you try the "rinse and hold" cycle?

ALos please check if the water inlet tap is not shut by some co-incidence.

I hope we can help you get this problem fixed soon.

i did as you suggested and tried another cycle. i tried the "Bio 50C" cycle. it stopped again with the same lights flashing but i notice this time that the base of the dishwasher still had water sitting on it. i switched the washer off and on and it is now running the "Rinse and Hold" cycle to empty the water. the water is still cold and not heating up but this time the detergent has been dispensed.

I am assuming you are trying other experts to assist with this problem as you have already declined my solution. If you are still interested in my help then please clarify which wash program were you running previously when the problem was noticed. I had asked for this information in my previous post..

You mentioned the Bio 50 program gave a different behaviour but did not say what program you were using before. You have to be patient sometimes as the consultant does not see what you see. Has to depend on the words in which the customer desribes the problem.

Fagor dishwasher showing f6

Please check fault codes on page 70 in this manual.
http://www.fagor.co.uk/documents/LFU-65iT.pdf

F6 would mean the water is not getting heated. I am not sure which model you have but if there is only a cold water inlet connection then either heater or thermostat is faulty. If you have both hot and cold water inlet then you may have to check if hot water is getting in at right temperature. Easiest way to confirm is to run dishwasher in cold cycle (short rinse) and see if it goes through. The heater would get used in warm/ hot wash cycles and drying.

Dishwasher stays in cleaning mode and does not cycle to rinse.

Hello their sounds as though water heater has failed if it doesnt heat it defaults to a 3 hour cold wash and never finishes cycle eg doesnt go through rinse stages.will need a new heater service tech to change as fairly complicated.

My dishwasher is brand new and is not drying the dishes!!! they are still wet. the model number is she55mi 2uc/60

If you are using a quick cycle there is not a dry cycle included due to the short wash. Ensure you use rinse aid even if you are using a product that includes it, as this assists the drying cycle by breaking the surface tension of the water and allowing less water to 'stick' to the load. Check that you have the machine set to the use the rinse aid and that the intensive dry is on. This can be done by following the instructions in your manual.
Extra Dry Heat
With this option you can raise the temperature of the rinse water and increase the drying time for improved drying.
This option is only for units with a display. If your unit has a display window, please follow the instructions below.
NOTE: The unit must be powered OFF before activating.
To activate:
Press and hold the left "Cancel Reset" button, then • press and hold the ON/OFF button.
The model number I think should read SHE55M12UC/60.
I hope this helps.
When the LED display window indicates a "0" or "1" • release both buttons.
To activate extra dry heat, press the left "Cancel Reset" • button until the display indicates "1".
To disable extra dry heat, press the left "Cancel Reset" • button until the display indicates "0".
Press the ON/OFF button to save the setting.
