Having gone over a month without a response to my query regarding document type, make, and model, I assume this is no longer a problem.

Need to make the print size smaller on my deskjet 3700 printer please .

Unless the printer has it's own menu to allow you to do this the print size should be adjusted at the source of the text you are printing, in the word processor for instance.

Generally a printer will print only the files it is sent in the form they have been sent. If you need the printer to print something different you mostly need to send it something different.
Set up the document you want printed on-screen and use the tools available in the programme you are using to adjust the document until you are satisfied and then send it to the printer.

My daughter just turned six and now I have to hand in a form to get paid I'm meant to hand the form on Monday but wasn't sent one what will happen?will I still get paid.

No you will not The form is the only way that the payment can be made on. You can down load the form and in some cases you can do the whole thing on line unless you have to sign the document in which case you can down load the form, fill it out and sign it and fax it back

Is there a way to hook up my hp lazer jet pro m1212 nf mfp to be able to send a fax utiling my laptop which is by wifi. In other words no land line available.

Without a dial-up line available for your fax machine, the only other way to fax is via the internet if it's supported by your MFP. Google online faxing or fax via internet for solutions you may be able to use in your situation.

Fax or facsimile was invented as a way to take a printed document, scan it into digital form and transmit it to it's destination in a matter of seconds -vs- sending it via an expensive courier taking hours or days. This is before the internet, Adobe and other players made a way to create and send documents via the internet without the need for a fax machine and dedicated phone line. While faxes may still be sent that way when the printed document is the only media available, faxing has died off considerably. Most large companies now have ways implemented to move documents digitally without the need to fax. I predict the fax portion of a MFP to disappear in the not too distant future. Earlier MFP's didn't include a fax feature and one had to but the next model up to get it, now it's included in nearly every MFP. Adobe's PDF format with the ability to fill in the forms fields electronically (as in your US taxes) without having to have expensive office software made printing and faxing a thing of the past. Don't be surprised if the business or other entity requests you, and all of us, to submit a PDF document to their business email address rather than a fax.

Good luck with your quest!

Okay, I am a novice. I have two insurance forms that I need to have scanned and sent to an insurance company via e-mail. How do I proceed? My printer is a Lexmark X2600, and has scanning...

i have a Pixma and i use "Picasa 3" for importing documents. after you download it scan your documents and they will import to Picasa. be sure to save your file and then you will be able to e-mail them.

I cant fill in a form sent to me in an attachment

The chances are that it is either a PDF type form meant for printout (unless you have the full adobe suite) or another form of LOCKED document.

In this case you would have to print it out and fill it in by hand then scan or fax it back to the source

An alternative would be to make it a background picture or similar in Microsoft word and then position the text in the correct places.

You could also take a look a FOXIT software if it is a PDF file as they have a program that would also allow you to type in the correct text areas.

It would be very decent of you to consider the quality of our expert’s answers and judge them accordingly as you pass through FixYa.

Thank you

An incorrect document was sent to the printer. The printer continues to try and print the documents and will not stop. Is there a way to "erase" the memory of documents in the printer "queue"?

Of course there are. Just press on "Printers And Faxes" in "Control Panel" and double click the printer you use.
Locate and press "Printer" on menu toolbar in this new window and then "Cancel All Documents".

If this procedure is taking too long, shut down your computer and unplug your printer, then restart computer, replug printer. Try to "Cancel All Documents" again

Good Luck

Hoow do I scan a paper from the Cannon MP210 to my laptop? I want to put college diplomas, drivers license and other documents onto my computer as a document so I may send them as an attachment to emails,...

First, may I suggest that you should never place those type of documents in electronic form. Document theft is very easy to accomplish and you will be sending very personal descriptive information out in the open. Don't do it!

That said, any document that uses a light or mild blue text will not copied correctly because of the properties of blue ink.

Drivers licence's are designed to "blotch" the image when it is printed.

Again, I strongly urge you to reconsider the placing these documents in electronic form.

If you mean that when you go to print a document it doesn't hang in the Windows print queue and leaves quickly, then it is because either the printer has grabbed the document into its memory or it has sent the document to what it thinks it another printer. It might also be that the drivers you are using are not set correctly or that the connection to the printer is incorrect.
