Had the same problem. The TV was left unplugged for a long weekend, when I returned and plugged it back in, it was as if the unit wasnt getting power at all!

Has anyone had a solution for this?

I have the 22 inch version of this TV set. I was watching it and I heard a loud snap. the set turned off and now there is no red led when the set is plugged in but off. Suspect a blown fuse due to component failure. Might be flyback transformer. It sounded like a high voltage snap when it failed,

but maybe a component like a rectifier could have exploded. I am going to take it apart tomorrow to see if there is any visual damage, and will check the fuse.

SOURCE: TV does not switch on.

From the symptoms you describe, it seems the high voltage flyback autotransformer has failed along with the horizontal amplifier (they are slaved to each other). It could even be a blown fuse..
Well, the only way to solve this is to get a technician take a look at the set, I'm afraid. Repairs could cost upto $100 or more, depending upon the number of components that need to be replaced,

Hope that helps!

I purchased a 27'',Insignia tv about a yr 1/2 ago, it has been working fine till about 3 days ago, when it decides to shut down by it self. however, when i unplug the tv cord and replug, it comes back on....

To start unplugg it for a few hours, I know it sounds dumb but it will reset the set. If that does work get the TV on a surge protector. It would surprise me if this needs service beyond that, this brand is very service prone

Sony TV not turning on

Chances are the Power Supply failed because the Horizontal circuit failed. It would not be out of line if the repair cost ran 250.00 plus.
It is probably not worth fixing due to the age of the set.
Hope this helps,

No sound on my 32'' Insignia LCD HDTV

you might try checking the sap (secondary audio programming) option in your tv if it has one make sure it is turned off. if it is off or does not have that option you will most likely have to take it to a repair shop. i would not try to fix it my self as you will do more harm than good.

Do you have your manuel? Hit caption on the remote control and it will say off on the screen. Then click again and select CC1. Just make sure you are watching a program that has CC. Some shows do not have that. Try a major network.

Insignia IS-TV040919 color problem

The tv has been dropped or banged around, you can try to get a degaussing coil and fix the colors, if you cant pull them back out than it would need a CRT/Picture tube...in other words the tv would not be worth anything.
