Whirlpool Dishwasher starts for 5 sec. then quits for hours. reset breaker and it will not start again for 5 sec

Most likely a fault (short circuit or ground fault ) within the heating elements of the dishwasher. Although the house circuit breaker will reset within a minute or so (manually of course) the built in protective devices will take more time to cool down.

My Maytag Bravo Steam Dryer runs for about 5 minutes and gets hot and then kicks the breaker in the breaker box. HELP!!

Hello there:
It blows fuses or trips the circuit breaker Electric dryers use 220 volts or two power lines of 110 volts each. Some components in the dryer need only 110 volts; the heating element requires 220 volts. So it's possible for one part of the dryer to be fine and another part to have a short circuit. Short circuits can be caused by the heating element, the main power cord, or any other part of the internal wiring. To decide where the problem lies, unplug the dryer, then:It could be also wired backwardes so make sure to have this checked'

If the circuit breakers or fuses remain on and/or intact when the dryer is unplugged, it's likely the problem is with the dryer. Contact a qualified appliance repair technician. If the circuit breaker trips or the fuse blows when the dryer is unplugged, it's likely the problem is with the house wiring, fuse box, or circuit box.

I have a gas dryer that cuts its self off after about 5 minutes after restarting a few time its blows the circuits

If you are indicating that it is tripping a breaker there must be a short or overload condition. I would first unplug the unit for safety, then look in the motor area for wiring that shows signs of discoloration from being too hot, or being pinched somehow. Also check the motor itself, the windings should have a bright red or yellow color. If you see browm the motor is toast.

Maytag MDB7130AWB dishwasher blows circit breaker.

These have been known to leak water into the door panel. If so the water can cause a short. Your breaker is keeping the machine from lighting up. Check any seals that may have been braeched in the door. Start at the dispencer latch
rubber.

CIRCUIT BREAKER TRIPS AFTER 5 MINUTES RUNNING.......WHEN I RUN WITH NO HEAT SETTING IT WILL RUN FOREVER......I PULLED THE HEATING ELEMENT AND IT "APPEARS" TO BE FINE.

Hello dale210mile,
Based on your problem description, it is possible that your circuit breaker itself is on its way out.. ( they do go bad sometimes) but before going that route, I would make sure that ALL wiring connections are tight ( meaning shut off the circuit breaker and make sure every electrcial tie point is snug and that you don't have a 'high impedance junction' somewhere in the power feed to the dryer. When you say the heating element 'appears' fine.. not sure what that means exactly but depending on the model.. you should be able to measure its cold resistance with an ohm meter and it should fall within manufactures spec.. A visual check of the heating element really won't tell you much unless it has shorted and you see a burn mark on it.. The mere fact that it runs OK for 5 minutes and then trips the breaker leads me to beleive that it may not be ok..but it is important to rule out the other hardware ( wire terminations etc) before going that route. One test you can try.. if after you've checked all the wiring etc..try running the dryer with no laundry in it .. ( just to verify that the additional load that the motor adds to the entire current draw isn't taking it over the top...) Hope these suggestions help you zero in on the solution..
Good Luck
Rick
