Your Wireless connection is not working properly. Make sure it is on and you are in range of your Wireless Access Point.

I find a yellow ? on my ethernet controller when i went to the device manager.then i click view, iclick devices by connection. i double click ethrnet controller and i saw that the drivers for this device...

To fix this problem you need to go to your computer's supplier website ie. Dell, HP, Toshiba, etc... and download the ethernet driver. Save it onto a flashdrive and than plug into your Computer and run the installer. Then restart your computer with the thernet cable plugged in. If this does not correct your problem you may have download the wrong ethernet driver. This won't affect your computer, all you have to do is install the other driver's and trail/error. You should be able to find out what driver it is for and if you need help please post the model of your computer.

WHEN i CONNECT ETHERNET PLUG FROM MODEM TO MY

You will have to reset the modem by unplugging it and removing the battery. Cable modems are fussy that way. They must be totally off--most people forget to remove the battery.

Go to ethernet card manufacturer website, locate your product on their website, and download the correct driver. Go to device manager, remove ethernet card, restart computer. When new hardware manager shows ethernet card found, direct it to use the driver you downloaded

Desktop and two laptops won't work with modem & router now

Probably you used the wrong type of ethernet cable, a crossover one. Try another Ethernet cable but this time a straight one.

Wireless routers

Just plug the cable modem ethernet into the input to your router and you will be fine. Just remember, if you decide you want to make any changes to your router settings through your browser, make sure you hook up an ethernet line from your laptop to the router before making any changes. The reason for this is if you make a change in security settings on your router while wireless, the router will reboot and if your laptop did have the settings changed in it, you can be locked out.
Not that you can't get back in, but it is a pain to have to do.
