This has happened to me TWICE in the past 4 months. I had Lexus road side service come out both times to check the car out. Each time the battery was totally dead. The road side mechanic said that if the car is not driven at least 15 minutes nonstop a day, the battery runs dead as there are so many draws from the car on the battery. If you do alot of stop and start driving like I do, that isn't enough to recharge the cell of the battery, it must be non stop driving time. Recommend that I get a 1.5 tricky charge device an hook to battery at least one night a week to keep the battery charged. This is really frustrating with such a new car. I've spoken to other owners of other model luxury cars and no one has had this problem.

SOURCE: Subaru 2009 battery problem

it is possible with clocks and such to drain the battery after 2 weeks. if you can't let it run for a while during that time, just unhook negitive battery cable untill ready to use.

There is obviously a draw from somewhere, and if your dealer doesn't have a mechanic who knows how to narrow it down to the circuit causing the problem, then I'd question there ability. With that said, when all else fails, you simply remove negative connection off battery first, then positive. Take a 12 volt test light & secure one end to the + clamp or connector, and the other end to the battery+ post. Now connect your negative back up to the battery as it was. If that test light, lights up, there is a draw. It will be brighter, the more draw there is. Your going to have some, just from your radio memory alone, but now comes the fun part. All you do is pull the fuses one at a time, if light goes out, or dim's you've found a draw. When you have a real hard one to narrow down, you make sure you know where they all go back to, whether by your map at fuse box, or your own notes, and you pull them all out, and light should go out for sure, if not, there is another circuit or panel, or relay drawing the current. If it goes out, you start putting them back in one at a time, and when the light comes back on bright, you found the circuit. Mark that one down, pull the fuse back out, light off, now do the rest that you haven't checked yet, just to see if there is more than one draw causing the problem, if there is, mark it down, pull it out & continue on until all done. Now you/they narrowed it down or isolated the circuit causing the problem.

well i would start with testing the alternator first. meanwhile get a battery maintainer/charger to charge to battery while not in use.
the alternator test will tell you if the alternator is charging the battery while driving or not. usually your local autopart store will test it for free

2007 lexus 460ls battery goes dead if not driven for 2 days. what is wrong??

something is turned on and killing the battery. Check the trunk light....(does it really go out when the lid is closed?. Take the bulb (s) out and see if that makes a difference....also if you have one on the hood lid....do the same thing...and pull out the cig lighter too...and also the bulb in the glove box. Something that is NOT on your accessories power is staying on.

Battery goes flat from time to time. battery ok charging rate ok.after going flat trickle charge for less than half an hour and it will start.m/b dealer thought it was tailgate lock 200 pounds later it was...

this is a hard one, the battery goes dead from time to time, youll have to keep an out for lights staying on, a brake switch that stick sometimes, could be a radio shoting or a cd player drawing volts with key off, best way is to hook battery to a draw tester ,see if it drawing then start removing fuses one at a time to try and pinpoint the system thats drawing. if battery is charged and removed from car for a week will it go dead? ive had cars with bad batteries that had the same symptons.

Battery keeps going dead. 06 ls430

With the engin not running and the key off, lift the hood and disconnect the positive lead on the battery. Then touch the lead back to positive terminal on the battery. If a spark is seen, there is something still on in the car. Could be the power mirror switch, seat heaters or even a car phone. Trial and error to find it.

Sorry I can't be more specific but that is the test.

Good luck.
