Speakers have 4 audio inputs and my computer has only one. Is there some type of box that can go in between to make the 2 compatible?

Audio input cable replacement

www.google.com or ask.com or bing.com type your question into the search box. have the make & model # next 2 u on a piece of paper.also type in search box bose companion 3 computer speakers, factory service website. or customer service website

go to local.com in search box type Bose companion 3 computer speakers repairs & parts

if you think you can fix it yourself go to
www.tigerdirect.com and click on computer parts and then on audio input cables for a large selection of audio input cables.

You need to look carefully at your input cables, what type of connector jacks they have at each end and buy the exact same cable that has the exact same jacks an\t each end .
cables there are cheap, usually $1.00,2.00 & 3.00 but they also have expensive cables which are a waiste of your $. why buy a $15.00 cable when on the next page there is a $2.00 cable that will work just fine. It pays to look around for price before you buy.
But if you see a cable that will work, bookmark it so you can get back there, just in case you dont find a cheaper cable.

Hissing from computer speakers and they are new

Hello
A hissing sound indicates the speaker amplifier has no input from the computer sound card, check to make sure the speakers are hooked up to the correct port for audio out to the speaker input, the Audio output to the speaker is the GREEN mini RCA jack on the back of the computer.

How to i connect my bose companion 2speakers to my computer and get sound

hi, first Identify what computer you have. Is It A Mac or PC?

If it is PC
-------------
There should be 2 small 3.5mm coloured sockets on the back, front (or both ) of the main box (tower/desktop unit). You should find that they are coloured Green and Red. Green is for sound output (Headphones/speakers or hifi) and the Red is for sound input or Recording. Used for things like microphones. Some will accept line sources such as mixers and Ipods pr cassette players, but please check your sound manager, mixer settings in your opperating system to make your you have an adjustable input setting for Mic and Line input attenuation as not all do and you may end up with a distorted mess. You may also find there is a small diagram of headphones or a microphone to indicate sound "in" and "out" ports.

If you have a mac
-------------------------

Appart fom me being envious :-) there are two sockets. On laptop types, on the side or on the tower types on the front, back or both. They have a diagram of a microphone and headphones. Hadphones is for audio output to headphones, speakers, hifi, dj mixer. The Microphone is a sound input. Please read above for microphone port usage. Hopefully this answers your question. Please also bear in mind that if you have no sound once plugged in, you may need to adjust the audio properties in the system in the system and/or program you may be using

What you need to do is connect your green audio jack from your speakers into the green audio connection at the back of your computer and you should have sorted it out :-)

Are these PC speakers? OF so you need a stereo RCA to min-jack cable, assuming the TV has a set of RCA audio outputs.

Bose Companion II Computer Speaker: The AC power adapter burnt

My puppy chewed through the cord for my a/c adapter, I just took the speakers into Circuit City, and they found me a workable replacement (the replacement isn't BOSE, but it works just fine).  Hope that helps!
