SOURCE: cant find headphone socket for rosen in-car dvd player

As far as i know, all Rosen in-car dvd players come with IR (infra-red) headphones so the sound is transmitted that way rather than using a lead from the headphones to the unit, therfore no sockets are neccessary!
Hope this helps....

SOURCE: My rosen dvd player doesn't work

could be a loose or weak wire connected in the rear. Did you have this professionally installed? I would check the wires before trashing. There are fuses in those units, maybe able to have fixed by a shop. Good Luck

Have you checked your car video player Rosen R5505 properly. If it doesn't power up, connections may have some trouble.

This unit is exclusively for cars with a negative ground, 12V
power supply.

If your unit doesn't come up, check the 3AMP fuses connected in series with the main +ve power rail. There are three wires from the rear power socket, colured yello, red and black. Out of which Black wire is --Ve or ground.
Yello is meant for constant power +12VDC, and red is meant for +12v accessory supply.
Whe fitted in the car, the yellow wire is connected to the ON-OFF switch, to power the unit when needed and the red wire is connected before the ON-OFF switch, so that there will be power ot the control section of the unit to retain memory and all other previous setting levels. In otherwords, red wire must be connected ot the battery terminals, and yellow wire must be connected after the switch of the car. This is the wiring status when the unit is in the car. Black wire is meant for ground or cars chasis.
When the unit is powered ouside the car, the red and yello wires must be shorted and connect to the +ve and the black to --ve. Then obly the unit will live up. OK.

Why does my DVD start over from the beginning when the car is turned off then back on. I just had my player replaced in the car I bought due to some malfunctions and the old one used to resume where it...

Not sure of the price difference but, the reason that your unit does not "remember" where it left off on the movie is because there is no memory connection. Most units have a 12 volt battery connection (memory), 12 volot switched (accessory) and ground connection.

Rosen dvd player will not turn on - just purchased 2005 land rover lr3

check the owners manual for fuse locations and find the fuse for your dvd system. make sure it isnt blown. if it is, replace it and see if it blows again. if it does, or if the fuse isnt blown, take it back to the dealer and get it checked out on their dime

Overhead DVD monitor screen dead but sound plays through stereo

If it's a Rosen dvd player the dvd will need to be put in the unit itself & not the unit in the dashboard! The dvd player mounted in the head ligning is a seperate unit from the stereo system fitted in your dashboard!
Sounds to me like you are putting a dvd into the dashboard stereo system which will play any audio through the car speakers...
Put a dvd into the Rosen unit itself & i am sure you will get a picture on the drop down screen! Remember that as far as i know all Rosen dvd players transmit the sound from the dvd to infra red headphones that should be included! Remember to check the batteries if you still can't hear any sound as they run down quick if the headphones are left on!

Hope this helps....
