Question about HP Pavilion dv1000 Notebook
Hi there- my husband has a HP Pavilion dv 1000. Recently when we start it up, it takes ages. Sometimes it just sits there with a black screen and never starts up... Anyhow- we are guessing that it's a virus- but none of the 4 programs that we have installed have found anything, and neither of us are computer masters.
So- we are thinking that our best bet is to reformat the machine and start over. BUT- we're not sure if the computer has start-up CD's that we'll need.
So- can anyone tell me if this laptop needs start-up CD's that we need to get? The last thing we want to do is start to re-format it, and then be stuck with a useless machine!! Thanks loads
In HP you have an option of creating these recovery cds yourself :
Here is the link to know how you can do that :
And the instructions on how to install it also can be found here.

a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
