IS THAT A Relic CRT monitors/?? wow.

the PSU is dead if the power button acts dead
no fans right ? no sounds, the 2 or 3 fans do not spin and blow
1: bad PSU
2: or objects plugged into the mobo are shorted,
3: mobo dead (Motherboard)

    the monitor is tested first,
    if the monitor is dead
turned on, or turned on WITH no vga cable connected
the monitor is dead. end monitors.
this PC is 16 years old, is that monitor too?

my guess this is your missing post.?
learn that what works good and not matters
    posting only bad,is a fail.
"the good, the bad and the ugly"
    and photos of inside,wow!

1; the monitor works, tested.(gets text)
2: the PC turns on but fans are dead.?
3: or the PC turns on but fans all run 2 or 3 fans all work, ok. even PSU fan !!!
if the PC self turns off that means . see below list (ATx SPEC, WIKI IT)

the PSu can self turnoff, at any time a fact (overloads, over voltage or on top grade PSUs 3 or 4ways,. much better.)

AT ANYTIME. BY DESIGN.ATC SPEC, FOR DECADES.
the mobo CAN ALSO TELL THE PSU TO TURN OFF
    AT ANY TIME, 2 WAYS.
    you asked it:
1:SOFT POWER OFF,THE OS UNSTATED, DOES THAT, start + power off icon windows.
    automatically this way:
2: the Mobo detects power rail overloads from the mobo owned regulators. (MANY) ASK.

what any wise tech does is. finding shorts.
SHORTS ARE OVERLOADS, there are no fuses
so regulators shut down then tell MR PSU
please shut off, so no damage to ME.
a bad PSU(dummb or bad) can wreck $500 in electronics ,so now you now why they shutoff.

a: unplug all loads off the mobo.
    * all drives inside disconnected dc cable.
HDD /SSD and DVD etc. yes all.
    * remove all ram, try each 1 by 1. only
heck even run no ram for 1 minute see if power holds(it wont boot sure)
    * all usb devices removed. all PS2 devices if present.
    * all PCI slots empty
    * omg you any GPU card sucking over 75watts, say gaming card , lacking the matching PSU, ???? and its AUX power connector, gee i cant see inside anyones pc
and ..cell phones all have camera.s
a photo can be worth 1000 words, wise no?
saves you time , mine, and no guessing.

IF WISE, REMOVER ALL THINGS SAID MOBO,BUT NOT THE CPU,
MAKE SURE ALL FANS WORK AND ALL FAN BLOWN DEVICES DO NOT OVERHEAT, CPU, PSU AND GPU FANS.
we call this stiping it down
    now the PSU
    it can be bench tested.

are you sure your PSU spare is good/
yes, then do the strip test.
this works on all systems if you know how.
we even did this on complex Naval ships,
(very complex) so PC are vastly more simple.

    got beep codes
got caps lock LED blinking out codes.
my guess it never gets that far in to the POST

  • goneforever. Jan 27, 2018

    one last hint.
    some PC not all
    but all the CPU can over heat in 10 seconds;
lets say kids hit the PC with say a basket ball. and the CPU heat sink clamps, popped free and theN fell off the CPU.
the PC will overheat and 10 second (varies)
but at 100c the processor , sees that
and executes, a HALT, the BIOS sees this event on some PC and shuts off the Pc
    SAVING ALL THAT NASTY DAMAGE.

SEEN SHIPPING DAMAGE LIKE THAT, ENDLESS.
IMPACT DAMAGE OF ANY KIND WHAT SO EVER.

  • goneforever. Jan 27, 2018

    WE CLEAN THE PC FIRST
    THEN TEST ALL FANS NEXT
OOPS, LOOKY HERE, FAN ON CPU MESSED UP.
MY CPU HERE IS 100WATTS ,
    IF IT cant keep cool it halts or shuts down;
all pc made from Pentium 4 to now, do that
    by design.

SOURCE: Front panel Ac Switch failing to start computer.

Try these steps.
If Power supply light does not turn on (or no power supply LED)
Perform the following steps, in order, until power is restored or it is determined that there is a hardware failure:
NOTE: If the Power Supply fan spins when the PC is turned on but the light does not come on, it is possible the LED is defective. If this is the case, use the section Power supply light comes on or flashes .
1. Disconnect everything from the PC, including the power cord.
2. With the power cord disconnected, press the power button on the front of the computer. Plug in the power cord and test to see if the computer can turn on. If not, continue using these steps.
3. Replace the power cord with another power cord, like the one used by the monitor.
Test to see if the computer can turn on. If not, continue using these steps.
4. Ensure that the voltage selector switch is on the correct setting, 115V for North America.
5. With the power cord removed, flip the red voltage selector switch to the opposite position, wait about five seconds, and then switch the red voltage selector switch back to its original location.
This ensures that the voltage switch is engaged and set correctly for your country/region.
6. Plug in the power cord and test to see if the computer can turn on. If not, continue using these steps.
7. Plug a lamp into the same outlet to see if the wall outlet has power. Try the computer in a different outlet in order to eliminate the outlet as a possible source of the issue. Test both to see if the wall outlets have power.
8. Remove all extension cords, power strips, surge protectors and any converters that remove ground. Plug the power cable directly to the wall outlet. Test for power. If this fixes the issue, find the device that is causing the issue and do not use it.
9. Use a vacuum cleaner to remove the build-up of dust from the power supply fan vent holes. Make sure that the PC is turned off and that the power cord is plugged into a grounded outlet. Only use the end of the vacuum hose near the outside of the fan entrance.
Plug in the power cord and test to see if the computer can turn on. If not, continue using these steps.
10. If all of the above steps have been tried and the power supply light remains off, use the steps in the next section, use the next section Power supply light comes on or flashes , to reseat the cables and check the power switch connector.

Treadmill not starting evan after we hit reset button, what else can we do?

hi, disconnect the plug from the wall, remove the saftey key, check if the on/off switch is on off and the circuit breaker is on off.

also very important if you are using an extension wire make sure all of the wire is out. wait 5 mins!

now switch the power button onto the on position.
do the same with the circuit breaker, switch it to the on position.
plug in the power cord and switch on. now reinsert the key hopefully this should have started your treadmill.
also make sure you give it aleast 5 mins when you have the wall unpluged!
