Have you tried a reset at the router using the appropriate button?

You have to keep a back up or your connection details (in form of user, password e.t.c.). It's difficult to avoidreseting the router. Just for an instance try to locate the restart from the router's setting page. It's some kind of soft reset, but at some router doesn't delete the data. If this doesn't work I'm afraid you have to reset from the button and ask your connection details from your Internet Provider.

suxess

In regards to the problem to your Linksys wrt54g note working properly sometime when there is a power outage you get a power spike that wipes out the setting on the unit and all you have to do is reset all the setting like it was a new unit. I have one of the first generation Linksys wrt54g units and had to do this time to time.

If you still have trouble let know that you are having trouble with and I can tell you if you are going to need to replace the unit or not.

Yes you hve to setup the router again, the wireless setting especially.
Turn mac control off in wireless security and let me know how you get on.

No connections with my wireless on asus g72

It is a hardware problem. The switch on the Asus G72GX is at fault. I own the same machine, and the switch will hard-lock the wifi and will not unlock it. The hot-key will not work either. It took me a very long time to get to the root of the problem. The only solution appears to be to switch the wifi off, power down (restarting didn't work for me), turn the switch on and then power up.

Linksys rouder suddenly stoped alowing other computers net access

I would recommend upgrading the router firmware, if you have not done this already.

Download the firmware file from the Linksys website:
http://www.linksysbycisco.com/US/en/support/

Typically, the upgrade is done by pointing your web browser at the IP address of the Linksys router. Linksys should provide specific instructions at the site above.

After power outage I Can't connect without bypassing router

If you can connect directly then, the problem is the wrt54g router. Possible problems:
1) Power Outage damaged the router
2) Power Outage reseted the router

For the second scenario, you should got to the browser and type: http://192.168.1.1/ and check whether you can enter or not. If not, you need to configure the gateway IP on your PC to 192.168.1.1

The easiest way to sort it is to enter your routers settings page in your internet browser or desktop icon and make sure you enable DHCP which will give your pc an automatic ip address. Make sure WEP or similair is off until the set up is sorted out. Next go to your properties of your wireless adapter(Card) and go to internet TCP/IP and click properties and make sur 'Obtain IP address automatically is ticked. No click Start, then Run then type:- ipconfig /flushdns then press enter.(note the gap between ipconfig and the /). Restart your pc and router and try connecting again
