Lift out front electrode unit and run you finger up and down the back side of each electrode. If there is no dust present, did you clean the front ionizing wire on the front grille?

If you remove both front and reare grill, there is also an ionizing behind the 2 conductive rubber strips. Easiest way to reach them is from the back side of the unit. with tube removed. Run finger up and down each one. If you never cleaned those wires, get an emery board for fingernails, and gently run the wire between a finger and the board with gentle pressure only- this will help clean any silica residue from silicone based air fresheners. Dust out the base of the unit, and reassemble. this should take care of the "clean" message.

Trigger don't release

I have a hose and gun that fits the McCulloch FHH18A that I no longer need as I had to buy a complete universal hose/gun and wand unit since I had broke the wand and the replacement wand was no longer available. If you are interested in it, email me at and we can figure out a price.

The oil egine light on the nissan navara d22 model is flickering what is the casue of this and the oil level is fine?

The oil light is the oil pressure warning light. When it flickers, it means the oil pressure is trying to build up, but can't maintain good pressure. It may be critically low which can cause engine damage. Have a mechanic hook up a mechanical oil pressure gauge to get the true oil pressure. If it's good, replace the oil pressure sender unit on the engine block. If it's too low, it may be a problem in the oil pickup tube and screen in the crankcase, clogged oil passages in the engine, a worn oil pump, oil too thick from wrong weight oil, worn crankshaft bearings, a failed pickup tube gasket or oil pump gasket. It would require some investigation to find the problem. But get the true oil pressure reading first, then you'll know if it's a problem or not.
Is it the engine or the starter dragging? For your sake, you should hope it is the starter. Good luck, Cliff.

Where can i buy repair parts?

Find a pressure washer vender in the yellow pages. It doesn't have to be a karcher dealer. Take it to them and show them what you are trying to accomplish. They can usually set you up with generic parts that will work just as well or better. Parts like hoses, trigger guns, lances, spray nozzles etc are really generic anyway. That's why there are no part numbers.

Also, stores like Home Depot, Lowes, Sears etc usually maintain a small section with these generic bits n pieces. I hope this is helpful to you and gets you pointed in the right direction! And good luck! Rate me if it has helped you. Thanks!

1 Answer washer seems to be locked up with pressure which is locking the flywheel. The gun trigger no longer releases the water pressure, and I don't know how to safely relieve the pressure. I

Your pressure washer is equipped with a "unloader valve". This is the device that routes the water into a by-pass loop when you release the trigger. Something has gone wrong inside causing the valve to not spring into the unload position. You can take it apart and see if you can discover what is going on. The most likely thing is that a bit of water still in it froze this winter and destroyed either replaceable seals or distorted the valve body (which is not repairable). On these little homeowner pressure washers, the best place to get parts is usually through the owners manual that came with it, or Karcher may have a web site set up for this. Also there is the possible resource of a pressure washer distibutor, which you would find in the yellow pages. They usually concentrate on commercial pressure washing equipment, but sometimes getting parts or pumps through them may be easier.

To solve the problem, first check the basic requirements for good function. The deflection of the belt should be 1/64 per inch of span between the centerpoint of the two pulleys. An example, if pulleys are 12" apart, the deflection is aprox 3/16". Next check for air leaks. With air in the tank at about cut out pressure, shut down unit and listen carefully for leaks (spray with soapy water) and repair as needed. Most likely leak is at the in-tank check valve. Remove the airline from the check valve and apply soapy water. If the check valve is leaking the pump with work extra hard to fill the tank. Clean the valve or replace if leaking. If no leaks, then suspect reed valves or head gasket. If reed valves or head gasket are leaking internally, the unit will take longer to fill and the discharge tube will be very hot. To keep track of the overall condition of your unit, you should know how much time it takes to reach cutout pressure. Ideal would be to time the unit when new then retest every month. If unit begins to take longer to fill, you know that a component is failing. Finally check that mounting bolts are tight and brace is not broken or cracked (some compressors have a very thin mounting plate causing the motor or pump to vibrate and the belt to wobble, a brace is added from the top of the pump to motor or motor mount). Good luck and let me know what you find.

Hard start ,after start runs great. after warm up 30 miles cuts out sluggish light pressure on gas will maintain speed does not cut out on iddle 55psi fuel pressure not coil, no codes

It sounds like the oil pressure sending unit . The way a lot of chevy engines work is the oil pressure sending unit is a back up power supply for the fuel pump . So evern if the fuel pump relay is bad the pump will still get power through the oil pressure sending unit its a split curicut .However it will make a longer cranking time until the oil pressure can reach enough pressure to trip the sending unit to send the voltage to the fuel pump . If you have a 4.3 the sending unit is is in the extereme rear of the engine to the left of the disturbitur shaft and you need a speical deep socket to remove and install it . The part is about 20 dollars make sure you buy a good one and the tool is about the same

4wd works but light flashing in 4wd high and low

The front diff engages drive with air pressure supplied by a pump behind the front bumper. Air is supplied to the diff through a pressure switching/valve unit and rubber hoses to the diff that run under the car. These can be damaged whilst off-roading and the pump unit will have to remain on for longer to maintain 4WD. The loss in pressure or the longer time that the pump is on for is reflected in the flashing 4WD lamp. I'd be checking all hoses and connections under the car. The other thing that may have happened is water may have got into the switching unit and it is giving an error code.
