Question about JVC Televison & Video
No response to the remote, but on board controls work. My remote control tester tells me the remote is working.
SOURCE: my panasonic dvd recorder /
Try reprogramming the remote itself; i.e. point remote at unit (while on), press and hold the and [ENTER/OK] buttons together for 5 - 10 seconds, then release. The remote's command should now match that of the unit (DVD 2) (the unit should now recognise the remote). Failing that, remove batteries from remote, replace with new ones (just in case) and repeat the above suggestion. You should not need to reset the main unit.
Whenever the batteries are replaced in Panasonic remotes, in some cases, a remote command reprogram is often required to ensure that the remote commands the unit fully and correctly. You may find this procedure outlined in your instruction manual. Hope this helps a tad.
