On the metal box where the two cables from the color wheel plugged look for a tiny rectangular opening in the metal shield---there is a tiny jumper plug there, remove it carefully with a tiny pair of needle nose pliers.

One of the things they do not tell you when you replace the color wheel, it is somewhat different than the original one.

How do I replace the color wheel in a Samsung?

The following link will give you a step by step on how to do so. I did so and it worked perfect http://www.jangro.com/electronics/samsung-dlp-replace-color-wheel/. If once you install the new color wheel the colors on your screen are reversed all that has to be done is pull out the TINY rubber looking thing with 2 pins in it under the yellow/white sticker, not 1 inch or 3/4 inch under the sticker. Right below the sticker where that rectangular opening is.

What does the color wheel "plug in" to?

the white clip that the 2 white/1 blue wire plugs into breaks when you remove the the wire. This should not be a problem as the wire should still fit snug when you plug back in.

I installed a new color wheel in my 6167w 61 inch hdtv. Now my colors are all messed up. Like the reds and blues are backwards.

You must go into service mode and re-align the registers, if you've never done this you must call a qualified svc center. Most color wheel replacements require re-alignment. The DLP must match the speed of the color wheel.

Well after reading a lot more on the internet I figured out that there is a jumper that has to be removed when you update to the new style color wheel. Also when you get the new wheel there is a new set of color setting that needs to be programed into the tv itself. NOW the picture is AWESOME! better than when it was new.
