1)Remove the rubber band and 'try me' tab on the side of the truck. 2)Hold the truck in the air letting it be fully expanded. 3)While still still holding it in air, press the button down on the top of the truck. 4)While keeping the button pressed, set the truck on the floor and collapse by pushing it to the floor. 5)Then, PUSH! **FYI- there is an instruction booklet hidden inside the cardboard display (even though my wife insisted that there was nothing inside)**

there is a plastic pin on the side of the truck that needs to be removed and then when the trucks are extended push the button down on the top of the truck and then push the truck down that activates the spring. The instructions are in the red cardboard piece. I hope this helps
