Question about Star 530FD Deep Fryer
I have a fryer that recently started leaking oil. i had it taken apart and fixed. worked great for 1 day. now after you light the pilot and turn on the gas at any temperature it runs for about 2 minutes then turns off. the pilot light even shuts off. the only thing done different after the repair is the metal thing that supports the 2 thermostats in place was not put back in. now they just hang there not touching anything. when it turns off you hear a click i think coming from the temp. switch. thank you, doug
Those thermostat bulbs are the thermostat and hi-limit bulbs. They need to be secured to the fryer. The hi limit is tripping out because its sensing that the oil is too hot.Even though the oil isnt that hot the hi limit thinks it is.
