Question about McCulloch 13HP 338 Cc Portable Generator # FG6000MK
I don't have the starter cover i was working on the unit and in emergency i had to go to work for 8 months when i came back the parts were missing

Generic version of your starter is most likely available from small engine shop. Look for model and type of engine itself. Briggs stratton, honda, etc. model number if engine is usually on starter cover or stamped on block or tag attached. If the recoil part is riveted to housing you may need to either re-rivet or use screws to attach new rewind. Used parts are also available at small engine shops. Just take in the starter housing only for match-up. Good luck
