Question about Bosch 24 in. SGS45E02 / SGS45E08 Exxcel Free-standing Dishwasher

1 Answer

Silly Dishwasher Hello, I have a huge problem with my less-that-12-hour-old Bosch SGS56E18GB. We are not generally thick people. We plumbed our dishwasher in, like we have plumbed in many appliances. Switched on the dishwasher for the first time and GREAT!!! Here we go! I can tell this is not going to be plain sailing. The dishwasher has already decided that it wishes to do the short cycle. (19/29mins or something) I Press on then off - no change. Reset, Off - on, still no change. So I decided to let it run the program just encase it was a factory setting for the first use. I waited and waited and WAITED!!!! The flaming thing will NOT end the cycle. Its stuck on 1 minute left.....for 15 silly minutes. No good, try again. Run the cycle and it did the same thing. So I reset the dishwasher as I managed to do it this time. Led turns to 0, but you can clearly hear the pump still chugging inside. This clearly is not right. Can any one shed light on what we can do now. Much appreciated, kel

Don't understand the incomprehensible door and general installation instructions for the aqua star. Just uses pictures, anywhere available that uses WORDS?

Hello,
  • 1 what you'll need
Electric drill and hole cutting bit
    Screwdrivers
    Pliers
    Adjustable wrench
    Level
    Teflon pipe tape
    Drain pipe for dishwasher
Dishwasher connection kit - available at your home store (should contain water supply line for dishwasher as well as necessary connectors and compression couplers).
    New dishwasher

  • 2Determine that you have access to the hot water supply line, the drainpipe and an electrical connection under the sink. Installing the dishwasher will require extending the hot water supply line to the dishwasher, connecting the dishwasher drain to the drainpipe under the sink, and plugging the dishwasher in. If your home was not plumbed in anticipation of a dishwasher, you will need to change some fittings under the sink to make these connections possible. (See below)
  • 3Read the instruction manual that comes with your new dishwasher. Installing a dishwasher is straightforward but you want to be sure you understand and are comfortable with the necessary steps.

My Bosch Dishwasher 6800 is not rinsing...after HOURS of running, sometimes the bottom of the washer is filled with suds. I use very little detergent and still have trouble.

    Hello, welcome to FixYa.

I'll start by saying your post indicates it is a Bosch dishwasher, however if you could post the complete model number (6800 is incomplete) I can speak directly about possible remedies instead of generalizing.

The one possible problem could be your door switch in the latch assy, hence it present's an error code.

Thank you for choosing FixYa. I'll need to watch for your reply before moving forward.

    Regards,

    Macmarkus :)

    Dishwasher not emptying

Hi, I have a coulpe of question's to start off, how much water is left at the end of the cycle we're talking about and how long does a typical cycle last ? 2-3 hours or 2 hours & less. Has there been any changes recently with plumbing or hot water tank etc ?These are just a couple of factors which will go a long way to finding you a solution. I look forward to reading your reply. New Bosch dishwasher mold before cycle

The Bosch is a very good dishwasher and it is very airtight. I would suggest you NOT leave the dishes inside that long, and always use the Power Scrub Plus cycle if you have it. It will get the water as hot as possible so mold does not continue to grow in the plumbing and filters.

It is NOT the dishwasher unit causing the problem.
