It looks like this wire is not replaceable. The good news is you can get another pair of these exact speakers for 8.99 us. here is a link for that :

Labtec lcs 1070

Hello,
The problem has something to do with the sound driver. I suggest that you update the sound card driver in your computer. You can use RadarSync to scan and update the driver/s in your computer. This software will cover all driver-related problems.

I have Labtec 1070 speakers... they work fine on other computers but not on my Dell (XP Pro). Suspect it's a driver problem but can't find a download. Tried Driver Doc but didn't work.

In case you have a drivers' problem you need the drivers for your soundcard (Dell motherboard). So please clarify me your Dell model.

In case of a problem or clarification, don't hesitate to post me a reply before rejecting my answer.

I have a labtec surround sound system and need help with installation

Hi , whats the problem bud?..
1st: make sure it is plugged into a wall socket correctly , to gain sufficient amount of power.
Then correctly , plug the green color coded wire , into the Green input jack on your PC at the back , into the motherboard unless you have a sound card...
It should work perfect then :)
Happy new year :)

Wiring internal board of labtec computer speakers

The shielded wires are for ground, so they get connected together. Plug the wire into the PC and run some music. Then touch each wire to the others. You only have a couple of combinations to try...red-to-green and white-to-yellow, or red-to-yellow and white-to-green, . You can do this while the PC is one and music playing until you get sound thru the speakers. There virtually no current running thru the wires and you can't hurt the PC by doing this.
If the speakers use an external power supply, have it plugged in and working when trying these connection options.

Installing Labtec LCS 800 speakers

1 wire goes between the 2 speakers
1 wire goes from the speaker with 2 jacks in it to the computer, the back of the computer should have a green port to plug in the cable to
1 wire is the power

this is a guess without seeing your setup
