Question about Toshiba 36A50 36" TV

TV wont read any of my game consoles input signal

I cant play my game console anymore on the TV. For some reason the TV doesnt seem to be accepting the signal coming from it.

- I am sure 100% that my console is working fine
- I am 100% sure it is not the wire that is broken as it was working the night before on another of my TVs.

Here is how it is all setup:
- TV Cable plugged into the VCR
- Second TV cable plugged from the VCR to the TV
- My game conslole in plugged in the line in video and sound input with the yellow, red and white wire.
- TV is on chanel 3
- VCR is on video mode

My TV keep showing a blue screen with no image or no sound. I will get the same result If I try with ANY of my diffferent game consoles (PS3 - N64).

I've also tried to plug them directly in the TV and use input 1 and input2 but these ones wont work either.

I have tried every arrangement possible and I think that I am about to go nuts cauz I am pretty sure that I remember how to remember how to plug those in correctly.

Please assist !!

Can't hook up a game system to a magnovox 13mt143/17 13" tv

You can, but you'll need an RF converter (also called a modulator) to do it. The TV doesn't have a/v input jacks and can only tune in signals coming in at the antenna connector. The converter takes the audio and video signals from the game console and generates a TV signal on channel 3 or 4 which the set can tune in. Unfortunately, this reduces the picture and sound quality somewhat, but it's the only option for your TV. RF converters are available at most large retailers and online, usually in the $15 to $30 range.

I am trying to plug a play station 2 into the rca f19240 and do not see ports for the three colored prongs that I need to conect

Many of RCA's smaller sets didn't come with AV input jacks. They only had a connector for an antenna or cable wire. To use a device like a DVD player or game console with a TV like this, you need an RF modulator. This takes the audio and video signals (those three cables you can't plug in to the TV right now) and creates a signal that the TV can tune in on channel 3 or 4. Unless you replace the TV with one that has AV inputs, the modulator is your only solution.

I cannot get my tv to play video games! What channel does it have to be on in order to play video games, I don't have the remote?

What style of connectors are you using from your video game to the TV?

If its the Yellow Red and White that is Composite video.

You have to change the input on the TV to VIDEO or Composite Video, depending on what its called on your model of TV. There may be an input button on the TV, otherwise you have to select it through the menu.

It is not on a channel unless you are using a really old game console with an "F" style connector, which is the one that screws on like cable vision.

Hope this helps!

Cant get game to come on

On the old TVs, to display a video signal the TV must be tuned to Channel 3 or Channel 4. Some TV have the video channel on Channel1.
Connect the console to the TV, tune the TV to Ch 3 and then to CH4 to find out out which is the video (or auxiliary input) channel.

How to connect the two

the only way to turn i to the input is by pushing the button "input" or "game" on your remote. "input 1" is the back connectors and "input 2" is the front connectors. "GAME" is also the front connectors but it turns that "game mode" on that is in the picture settings. suggest you read the manual that came with the tv too. it explains this all in there with pics and stuff.
if you lost the manual here is a link to it on there website.

Hook up

You can by an AV splitter box from dick smith or even k-mart audio section that allows you to plug all your units into it, then leads go to your TV. There is a switch on the box which you flick over depending whether you want to watch a DVD or play your game unit.

The other option is to have a llok at the back of your DVD player. Some have input AV's (the red, white and yellow holes !) where you could plug your game console into. Then you just leave your dvd plugged into your tv as normal. To play your game console you turn on TV and DVD player. Have TV on "AV" channel as well as your DVD player on "AV" channel (may also be your input or component channel.

Hope this helps :)

Emerson Spongbob tv broken remote...cant change input?

Then the only way to reach your tv is through coaxial antenna port. So you can buy an rf modulator ( very cheap) and connect your red yellow and white cables (rca cables from a dvd, game console etc) to the modulator then connect the modulator to your antenna with a coax cable. This worked for me.
