Question about LG 42PX5D 42 in. Plasma HDTV
I have a lg tv that is practically brand new. it has no signal after working fine the last few months. i called direct tv and they said there is no problem with the sattellite connection. i tried changing the input and still no signal. ive changed the channels still the same. i did the easy scan and it said unable to find channels. the dvd player works fine when that is turned on. i have it set on hdmi1 for tv which is what it has always been. when i go to change the channel its just snowy.
Sounds like the EDID data has been corrupted in your main board. it can be reprogrammed but most techs will just replace the board. either way someone will have to come out and look at it. it should have a 2 year parts and labor warr on it. call LG cust service and get someone out there.
