it is refered to as he "DLP" chip. That is the most likely fix. However be advised that while replacing the chip itself is relatively easy when you put it all back together you'll find that picture will be out of alignment.You will need to leave all the screws that hold the board in place loose so that you can move it in order to re align. it is easier if you have someone in front of tv to guide you.
