In some cases the connection get reversed. Not always necessary but in some cases. The hot and cold water supply lines running into the back of your washer are probably reversed. In other words, the cold water supply line coming out of the wall is probably hooked up the the hot water connection on the back of your washing machine and the hot water supply line coming out of the wall is hooked up to the cold water connection on your washer. Make sure you TURN OFF the water supply lines before unscrewing the hot and cold water supply lines where they connect to the back of the washer and reversing them. If you don't turn off the water then you will have a flooded room when you disconnect the supply lines from the washer. If that is not the case, then check the hose and fill valve connected to the water passing line.If there is any kind of blockage then this can be the issue. You can get required parts from www.repairclinic.com
Thanks. Keep updated for any more query. You can rate this solution and show your appreciation

i've found problems with the temp. switch on this washer part number W10184148 and it's around 40 dollars, also on the rinse cycle the washer only uses cold water.what happens when you use just the hot?i had a lady that her water would start to fill and then the water would stop and the pipes in the house would start making a banging sound.if you order the part from http://www.repairclinic.com/PartDetail/Switch/W10184148/1468990 repair clinic and if this isn't your problem which i think it is from how you discribe it you can send the part back and get your money back for up to a year.good luck with your washer and next time you buy something and it doesn't work right get right on it

Since U get warm water that tells you that the cold and hot water solenoids are both operating. Ergo the anomaly has to be with the device that controls temperature.

My new estate washer with 4 water selections actually only has 2, hot and cold. The warm water setting fills with lukewarm water for a while then shoots in cold water for a while and back and forth. In the...

Yes, this is normal. All newer washer have auto temp control fills. This is to meet energy saving requirements. The less hot water used the more energy saved. Most hot settings on washers give out basically lukewarm water. The detergent made today is made to work well with cooler temperature water, so things will still come out clean.

I DON'T GET WARM WATER, WHEN SET ON WARM, ONLY GET COLD

If the setting is only hot and cold, there will be no
warm water coming out. At warm setting if it is
present, it should give you warm water.
