Hey BlackOut,

The newest Nintendo update (1.4.1 or 1.4.2) blocks most flash cards on the DSi and DSi XL consoles so it's quite likely you've fallen victim to this. Check out DSCardWorld's blog post about it here:

http://www.dscardworld.com/blog/2010/09/24/dsi-1-4-1-firmware-fixes-for-acekard-2i-ezflash-vi-m3i-zero/

You can probably buy a card that works with the 1.4.1 update like the Acekard 2i, EZFlash Vi or M3i Zero. However, make sure you only buy the real one as fake/clone cards can't be updated when Nintendo releases a new firmware (it makes them cheaper to produce that way, which is why they don't do it). I recommend grabbing R4i / DS cards from www.dscardworld.com itself or R4 Cards from NDS-Gear if you're in Canada or Europe, since their international shipping rates are a bit cheaper.

Good luck!

Up date nintendo dsi xl

Hi there!
To update your DSi XL you will first need to make sure your DSi is connected to the internet. If your DSi is not connected to the internet, do this follow the steps in this link:

How to Connect to the Internet Nintendo Support

Once your system is connected you will need to select the system settings icon (the wrench) from your DSi menu, click the right arrow 3 times and click on "system update." Then click "yes," then "next,"then "I agree," then "ok" to start the update!
Have a fantastic day!

My dsi xl (with f. 1.4.3u) won't open it, HELP?

It means you update the dsi console before updating your r4 card, and now you need to find a ds lite or dsi which version is lower than v1.4.4 to update the r4 card.

My nintendo has got a problem for a few months now. when turn on the power button, it has given an error messagge "an error has occurred. press and hold the power button to turn the system off....

If the following error message appeared in your DSi or DSI XL: "An error has occurred. Press and hold the POWER button to turn the system off...", It means that your Nintendo has been updated (by the Internet) to the version 1.4.2 (or 1.4.3) or you bought it updated. In this case your DSi XL or DSi doesn't work with any flashcard in the market.

If you don't have an updated flashcard, the solution requieres both "updating the kernel of your flashcard" and also "patching it". I hope it helps you.

Yellow letters on top of upper screen ooofeoo when i turn on the ds

As I could not find anything about error "ooofeoo", I will post for an error "0000FEFE".

If both screens on your Nintendo DSi or Nintendo DSi XL go blank except for the message 0000FEFE when you turn on your system, then your system will need to be repaired. Please click here to determine your repair options.

If this does not help, please comment with more information about your problem.
