Just reset the router.

Press and hold the red reset button on the back of the router for about 30sec, unplug the power for another 30 secs the plug is back in. by then all the settings will be back to its default; name: linksys ( unsecured ), username: password: admin.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

How do i put a password so nobody in my building can get on my ;linsky

open a browser window and then type http://192.168.1.0 or http://192.168.1.1 and enter your router settings. change settings including password. unless you've set it up differently and actually have a username and password, leave the username space blank and use "admin" as the password. that's often the default password on a linksys. linksys has a great support page. they have the drivers, manuals, the works. the manual will also have the default password, plus how to do the default reset. here's the link http://homesupport.cisco.com/en-us/wireless/linksys/

Linksys WL router always has default password "admin" you will have to reset router to factory defaults by plugging Pin in to Tiny Hole on Router back side for 5 seconds. and then login by default ID "admin" and password "admin" to configure router again. Secured used router

The following actions will clear all settings and restore them to factory defaults.......
On the back of the linksys there is a reset button. hold that button down for 30 seconds.

Once this is completed you can access the router by connecting it to a computer. Open a browser and type http://192.168.1.1
At the log in leave the user blank and enter admin for the password.

Can not access with password

On the back of the router there is a small hole.
Unplug the power from the router.
Take a paperclip and press the button that is in the hole.
while holding the button down with the paperclip plug the power back to the router.
keep holding for approx. 5-8 secs. This will reset the router to factory defaults.
release the button and wait about 3 mins. for the router to fully reboot.
You should be able to get in with the default account and password.

Login on to linsky

Under this condition you should connect the linksys router physically by LAN cable and that try to get connected with and reconfigure it properly as per your requirement. If still unable to solve the problem than kindly reset the unit to factory default by pressing the reset button.and that try to get connected with and reconfigure it properly as per your requirement.

Linsky password

If you're after the default userR/password to log in to the admin-intaserface on the router it's usually ussername=root and password=admin

If it's the wep-key it's asking for there are software that can fetch this from your computer, but it's probably just as quick and easy to change the wep-key in the router and set up your writeless computers with that key.
