We can only guess what keyboard you might have. Maybe it has built in speakers or requires external speakers.

Usually on the keyboards there is a headphone jack. The jack disconnects output if headphones are in. Some keyboards have mute functions. Some use rotary volume controls, some use sliders... The controls can become damaged causing problems.

We don't have ESP to know what model you have and can give no further help without the model number. Always post as much detail and tests you have run.

How to program the zoom 3030 pedal back to factory setting

From the Owner's Manual:

1. disconnect the AC Adapter to the 3030 (Make sure amp volume is all the way down)
2. While holding the STORE key down, reinsert the AC adapter to power back on. (..AL.. will flash on the display, indicating that the 3030 is standing by for the 'All Initialize' operation.
3. Press the STORE key again. The All Initialize function will be executed, and the Play mode returned. To cancel All Initialize function, press EDIT key. This cancels reset, returns to Play mode.

Sounds like you have the accompaniment function selected. Find the button on the front panel and deselect it and you will get full control back

Problem with casio CTK-691 keyboard

"can I do it my self or should I go to a professional to get it repaired"?
Get it repaired by a professional. Casio gives long warranty (5 years in Australia). Mine took weeks for Casio Service to repair. Many boards had to be changed.

Hello my Korg X5D on switching on shows 00:Initcombi0 on top display and "battery low" blinks on lower display, Keys from 33-40 are malfunctioning ( giving odd sound) other keys are working...

There's a watch type battery (flat disc) on one of the boards inside the X5D. This maintains the settings while the keyboard is switched off and could be the whole problem.
The keys are on two different circuit boards connected with a multi-pin cable. If the cable were dislodged I would expect it to simply cut off half the keys but it's probably worth checking.

I brought my kurzweil sp 3X to a store to have them installed a new board on it, but after they installed the new board in, the character displayed on the screen are all in a weird organize and messed up....

It sounds like the new board and firmware has gone to abbreviations instead of fully spelling it out.

I would complain to the store since they should warrant it if it is a problem... but be prepared to accept that the firmware has been changed and displays differently now.

My keyboard is being uncooperative. It produces no sound, and displays the following message: “Welcome to the PC-88 . . . Waiting for scanner . . . Scanner is dead! V1.02” Any suggestions?

The scanner is LIKELY the scanner that scans the keyboard matrix. The scanner sends out a strobe to a particular portion of the keys and reads that portion then moves on to the next. The keys are in a big matrix with disconnect diodes to avoid reading crossing in the matrix when multiple keys are presssed at once. Each keky has two contacts whcih allow them to measure how fast a key is pressed because one contact closes before the other.

The "scanner" MIGHT be on a seperate board that has cables to the actual keys area AND a cable to the main processor. OR the scanner could actually be included on the circuit board with the key switches. I would open the unit and look for a cable that has come loose between the scanner circuit board and the main board. Beyond that this will NOT be a DIY repair.

Distortion of the sound of the keyboard and sometimes the sound of the key not ceasing immediately when i pull my finger off it.. ):

Likely the key contacts need to be serviced. Since you did not specify a brand or model we can;t help further other than this general info:

The contacts are USUALLY conductive rubber (black) "pills" held in silicone rubber boots that press on circuit traces on a printed circuit board under the keys.

CLEAN the pills and the circuit board with 99% isoprophyl alcohol and Q-TIPS.

There are usually two contacts per key to measure the velocity of the key. If these fail to work correctely the sounds will appear distorted and either fail to sound or will sustain abnormally.

If you are unfamiliar with electronics and handling delicate cables, you best leave the repair to a shop.

G key not sounding

If it is a single key, then the key contact either needs cleaning or there is a crack in the circuit board with the contacts. These likely are conductive rubber contacts. Take them apart and clean with 99% isoprophyl alcohol. They are usually a black rubber "pill" in a silicone rubber dome that is pressed onto traces on a circuit board. Clean both the pi;ls and the circuit board. Do all thekeys at the same time to avoid having to take apart to do others later.

If ALL G sharps keys are dead, then either a wire is broken or circuit board connector or a crack exists in the board. Cracks in the board is USUALLY fatal.

Keys don't work in random pattern formation

The keys are scanned in a matrix. It sounds like two of the matrix lines are broken. They may be broken on the board which the keys contact. These are often conductive rubber "pills" pressed onto finger like patterns of circuit traces. The traces have a black coating in the contact area. If the keys have been "mashed", sometimes the board is cracked. IF the crack goes through one of these contact areas, that is fatal. That board needs to be replaced.
A loose cable where two wires of the matrix aren't contacting would do it as well.
